In this book, the author found, in the consciousness of exercising the art of writing with emotion, the interpretation of her identity. In her medical profession, she has found pain, struggle, pursuit of healing in the shadow of death, action, decision, violence, poverty, suffering. In poetry, ironically, she has found the same, both in self-control and in disarray, impersonality, segregation. But the dream has never abandoned her and she acknowledged that life is a gift. De Raízes e de Maré, Axé

“De raízes e de maré, axé” is a tribute to the artistic, cultural, and human vibrancy of Bahia — a region in the Northeast of Brazil that is as unique as it is beloved. In the poems of Chiara Mari, readers will find an opportunity to reconnect with themselves through the power of the poetic and visual journey offered by the book, enriched by the paintings of the talented Natalie Burri. For those who have already experienced Bahia, “De raízes e de maré, axé” is a chance to dive into treasured memories — as Alceu Valença sings — to rediscover a sense of home and soothe the longing through verse. For those who have never set foot in this land of contrasts and joy, the book is an invitation to travel and discovery. It is a call to look beyond the contrasts within our own realities as well, to rediscover the beauty and poetry hidden in everyday life — beauty that comes alive through the sensitive and poetic gaze that every human being carries, and which society must strive not to lose. Axé!

The book “Sulle Ali Della Libertà” is a mirror of intimacy and humanity, where the reader will find emotion, reflection, rebellion, love, vision, and poetic hope. It is a journey of feeling, discovery, and personal growth, designed for those who are willing to challenge themselves and be moved by the power of words.

Desenhos Animados –olhar além da tela

The author undertakes a meticulous and insightful study of the evolution, influence, and potential application of animated cartoons in formal education. The work presents the technical progression of animation through a historical lens, from the earliest attempts to freeze moments in time through photography to the advent of digital animation technology. A richly detailed work for enthusiasts of the seventh art and for professionals who incorporate it into their practice.

Work and Global Capitalism – The World of Labor through Animated Cinema

Volume 1

This book offers a critical analysis of selected animated films aimed at children and adolescents. Focusing on productions from the 1990s and early 2000s – at the turn of the 20th to the 21st century – it explores how these works reinforce messages associated with the new models of work management and organization. At their core, these animations convey corporate cultural goals, subtly integrating such values into society with little questioning or resistance.

Work and Global Capitalism – The World of Work Through Animated Cinema

Volume 2

In this Volume 2, the author expands the focus with the aim of ensuring that the reader, as the recipient-subject, does not play a passive role when engaging with the film. Instead, the goal is for them to construct meanings (or reconstruct them), fill gaps, discover concepts, formulate hypotheses, and test them. Given that cinema is a medium that allows for this creative process through images, sounds, and movements, it can have a profound effect on individuals’ consciousness, making it a complete and essential tool for the educational process.

Sônia’s Manuscript

Borboletas de Aço

Thirty chapters, with a prologue titled “O Mito” and the epilogue “Borboletas de Aço”, compose the novel Borboletas de Aço, based on real events, that tell in detail the author/protagonist’s path and her maturing process in foreign lands, especially in Italy. Rescuing her origins, Mariana Brasil uses as main thread the saga of the Guerra family, which, through the friendship among the Italians Giuseppe, Esmeralda and João Maria, opens a window in time and invites us to revisit the milestones in the history of mankind, intermingled with the trajectory of a successful international literary case.

O Manuscrito de Sônia (Sônia’s Manuscript) is the original manuscript that Paulo Coelho used as a base to write the best-seller 11 minutes. The subtitle “Entre as Fronteiras” (“Between Borders”) does not refer only to territorial borders, but also to personal boundaries to the limits (...) as far as you can get without losing the true meaning of life. A story told with the delicacy of a fairy tale, with the authenticity and excitement by someone who writes what one has lived, recounting the touching adventure of a woman who was never afraid to follow her own heart, even in adverse circumstances. Sônia’s Manuscript has sold more than 130,000 copies. It was first published in Brazil, in 2003, and subsequently translated and published in several countries.

A Voz Que Não Ouvi / La Voce Ritrovata / The Voice I Did Not Hear

A voz que não ouvi (The voice I did not hear), will be whose? Surprising answer, we find at the end of this fascinating love story between Jorge, with his life marked by cruelties, and Helena, a charming shepherdess. Contrasts and realistic accounts, including the 1974 revolution in Portugal, and the subsequent transition from dictatorship to democracy, also contribute for the reader to find more than a novel; they find an exciting vivid portrait of a nation!

Vislumbrando Um Mundo Melhor is a work that stands out from Martin Santos’ previous works, combining poetry and prose in a unique way. Through a sensitive and engaging narrative, the author shares the emotional and singular story of his life. With responsibility, simplicity, and warmth, he recounts the contrasts that have marked his journey, from poverty to abundance, from failure to success, and from despair to hope, offering a deep reflection on life’s challenges and triumphs.

Esplendor No Horizonte / Splendor In The Horizon

Reflexões Rimadas / Rimed Reflections

Poetry collection

An excellent poet who stands faithful to the appeal of his idealisms and who so sublimely expresses in his poems. As a singer, I am also a sensitive admirer of literature and poetry. Therefore someone who observes in this work of Martin Santos, the eloquence of a talented writer. Poet of passion, pain, melancholy. Poet inspired and inspiring, sad, delicate, harmonious and dreamy. Martin Santos is winning hearts, snatching even the hardest and obeying, in totality, his personality as a poet of human feelings. Poet of longing, of solitude, of the precarious passage of all beings through life. Your poetry goes through time! ... It gives signs of the past, passes through the present and marks the future with dreams and longing! Martin Santos is par excellence the poet of Love!

Esplendor no Horizonte, (Splendor in the horizon) is a narrative so exciting, enlightening, unique and realistic, based on the real life of the writer, which could not be only the fruit of noble imagination and feelings. In a careful, clear, simple language and contrasts that range from misery to abundance, from tragedy to happiness and from despair to hope; emphasizes education, moral values, pros and cons of emigration, and many other pertinent subjects in a touching way.

A prolific writer, she has published several books and contributes to national and international anthologies. She actively participates in e-books and digital literary magazines. menezesdeoliveiramirian@gmail.com

“Métricas Maceradas” presents itself as a humble and minimalist work, daringly arranged according to homeopathic principles. Succinct… diluted… fragmented… it desperately tries to mirror the rhythm of the heartbeats, scanning emotions in: seven, eight… ten poetic syllables. The poetic sketches and scribbles take on the role of reorganizers of CHAOS, behaving like dragonflies in search of balanced flight.

“MASHED METRICS” is poison...

“MASHED METRICS” is antidote... Perhaps, poetry! The logic of intuition..

Por quê?

Tempo de recolher as folhas

“Por quê?” is a simple children’s book, summarized by its very title. It can be seen as a brief introduction to the questioning nature of the human being... or an attempt to philosophize about daily life... perhaps, even, the validation of the “whys” inherent to childhood. Is it a children’s book? Or is it meant for readers of all ages? Do you want to understand life? Are you seeking answers? Why? With whom? What will happen? With so many questions, what answers will you find?

“Tempo de Recolher as Folhas” is a resilient book, conceived during the COVID-19 pandemic. It can be classified as a reverse anthology: various texts by the author organized like pieces of a puzzle. The arrangement of the texts does not follow a chronological order, whether ascending or descending. Still, special attention should be given to the text “Letter to the Guardian Angel”, written at the height of the lockdown. The title carries an ambivalent meaning: it refers both to the leaves of trees and to sheets of paper — drafts, scribbles, revised texts, forgotten, revived… Despite its intimate organizational process, Tempo de Recolher as Folhas is not autobiographical, has no “utilitarian” purpose, nor does it aim to be a self-help book. It is, simply, a book of Poetry.

ROSA MADEIRA

Rosa Maria Correia Marques Figueira da Silva, also known by her artistic name Rosa Madeira (given to her by her godmother in fado, Beatriz Costa), was born in Cartaxo on November 4th. Since childhood, she harbored two dreams: to sing and to rhyme. Before singing, she was already composing rhymes. Later, songs followed. As a young girl, she joined the OTS (Orquestra Típica Scalabitana), where she developed a passion for fado. One day, Destiny led her to the island of Madeira, where she married and had two children. On this beautiful island, known as the “Pearl of the Atlantic,” she continues to live, sing, and now focuses more on poetry, not always rhymed. Rosa graduated in Social and Cultural Sciences from the University of Madeira. Her inspiration for poetry comes from the island itself... from its deep valleys, mountains, the surrounding sea, her family, and the feeling of longing. rosamadeira@sapo.pt

Rosas de Novembro

“Rosas de Novembro” is a poetic work in which Rosa Madeira delicately weaves the threads of longing, love, and romantic emotions. LAÇOS

DE

JEQUITIBÁ-ROSA

(Cariniana Legalis Knots) narrates the compelling saga of a family of four women who, alone, confront the challenges of Brazilian rural life from the 1930s onwards, spanning several decades. In the midst of adversity, they build a simple existence, yet love-filled, cultivating the memory of their ancestors and applying, with tenderness and simplicity, in their daily lives, the lessons of strength and wisdom they inherited.

Inspired by the majestic Jequitibá-Rosa, Patriarch, symbol of resistance and ancestry, they bring new lives into the world and create unbreakable bonds—so deep and enduring that neither progress, distance, nor time can undo: the knots of the Cariniana Legalis.

É o fim da psicologia

É o fim da psicologia ( It’s the End of Psychology): This work examines the contemporary challenges of the 21st century, juxtaposing technological advances with enduring human dilemmas. Hartmann criticizes modern psychology for neglecting human imperfection, promoting superficial solutions. It advocates a philosophical approach, celebrating culture and science to understand existence. A manifesto against simplism and in favor of new thoughts

O homem precário ( The Precarious Man ): The text explores human development between the metaphorical and the real, stimulating existential reflections. Hartmann addresses how the individual’s perception of the world influences reality. Integrating theology, philosophy and science, it acknowledges the limits of human existence. It proposes a creative and hopeful vision of existence, emphasizing the importance of trial and error as a path to understanding.

A potência da fragilidade humana (The Power of Human Frailty): A man contemplates his reflection in a mirror, perceiving his finitude and fragility. When the mirror breaks, he sees his own fragmentation, understanding that he is made of glass. Its beauty lies in the awareness of this ephemeral nature. We are not singular entities, but rather fragments that shine by reflecting the truth.

Razão imperfeita (Imperfect Reason ) celebrates a faith that welcomes doubt and seeks new values aligned with nature. He proposes an aesthetic thought as resistance to existential chaos, exalting the pleasure of living. It is a hybrid reason, of body and life, that transforms culture with an inclusive and vibrant vision.

PARNAMIRIM – Human DIGNITY in the Western Society is understood as the moral compass of human rights.

What made me write this book, was basically to rescue the DIGNITY of the Brazilian allies, that fought together in WWII, against the Nazi and Fascists, as well as bring to light the unclaimed OMISSION caused by the Brazilian government, whose President Getulio Vargas, was a supporter of the Nazis, Fascists, and friends with Hitler, and favoring Germans in Brazil during the war.

Here you will learn the reason for President Roosevelt’s negotiation with Brazil, that resulted on one side the construction of the AMERICAN Airbase PARNAMIRIM, and on the other, the creation of Brazilian Expeditionary Force (FEB), with the participation of 25 thousand men soldiers and women nurses, in the WWII. Eu e Outras Mulheres

“Eu e Outras Mulheres” – Short Stories, Chronicles and Poems is a book that summarizes in small chapters the life of a woman born in the first half of the 20th century and who, early on, learned that so many desires go through everybody’s lives throughout the years... Some good, others not so much; some graced her eyes with little stars, others blurred her vision with tears. But undoubtedly all of them added something to her existence, as proven in the several texts of the book. Thus, she realized that Peace is the absence of wars between countries, between factions, or between us and our spirit, our desires...

O Passar do Tempo

Memórias de Gaúcho

Memórias de Gaúcho presents a man who was born in Rio Grande do Sul, at the farm São Solano, located between two cities: Cruz Alta and Santa Maria; between the end of the 19th century and beginning of the 20th century, in the night that separates the signs of Gemini and Cancer, as well as Autumn and Winter in the Southern Hemisphere. This duality that has always accompanied him may explain the fact that he was a young precocious adult and then an elderly man who remained young until the end of his life, at the age of 93. The book, already in its second edition, tells the story of the writer’s father, Plínio Gomes de Melo, and is dedicated to her grandson Ricardo.
