Dear Friends,

With growth comes responsibility, and at ACHIEVA we do not take our responsibility lightly. ACHIEVA has stood the tests of a challenging economy and increasing community needs all the while staying true to its mission of providing lifelong supports for people with disabilities and their families.
ACHIEVA Early Intervention
ACHIEVA • Annual Report 2012
Built on a strong foundation of advocacy, ACHIEVA was founded in the 1950s by a group of parents with a common passion, to ensure their children with disabilities had the same chances in life that all children should be given. Since then, ACHIEVA has been committed to providing innovative and industry changing programs and services for individuals with disabilities and their families. Each year, ACHIEVA grows in staff, customers and support services. ACHIEVA currently operates from more than 100 different locations and is the service provider of choice for more than 12,600 individuals and their families. ACHIEVA is southwestern Pennsylvania’s largest provider of lifelong services and supports for people with disabilities and their families. As a nationally recognized leader in health and human services ACHIEVA created innovative supports, such as ACHIEVA Family Trust, for individuals with disabilities and their families.

“ It’s just like a little preschool. It really gives them real world experience. And though my son is blind, they’ve adapted it so he is participating at the same level as the other kids, which is excellent.”
