CE-Chirp® is a new broadband stimulus available on the Audera. The new CE-Chirp optimizes the stimulus so that the energy from the stimulus reaches all regions of the cochlea at approximately the same time. This change in the stimulus presentation offsets the mechanics of the cochlea’s traveling wave and results in an Auditory Evoked Potential (AEP) waveform that is significantly increased in amplitude. The AEP generated by a CE-Chirp has been demonstrated to be as much as two times more robust than

the corresponding click ABR in normal hearing subjects. CE-Chirp Octave Band is an additional stimulus that is available for frequency specific threshold estimation. Using the same principle as the CE-Chirp, the CE-Chirp Octave Bands elicit optimal waveforms for frequency specific evaluation.
