YOUR QUESTIONS ANSWERED

Where do the Courtyard Concerts take place?

Courtyard Concerts take place outdoors in our secluded courtyard at the back of the site. Performers and seated audience members are completely covered by a 300 square metre stretch tent with dropped sides. The tent is waterproof and hung with hundreds of festoon lights; it makes a magical outdoor ‘concert hall’.

Is there parking on site?

Yes; our capacity for outdoor concerts is 180 and we normally manage to mark the majority of cars on site. On arrival, parking marshals will direct you to a space. If the site is completely full, a small number of cars might park along Haverhill Road (avoiding the houses and drive ways). There are cycle racks at the front of the site. We kindly ask visitors not to arrive before 6:00pm as waiting cars can block the road.

Can I get a Blue Badge parking space / seat?

Please add a Blue Badge parking space to your basket when you book online. If you book over the phone, please tell us that you’d like a Blue Badge parking space. Blue Badge parking spaces are located at the front of the site; please note that the courtyard is a short walk from the parking spaces on flat hard-standing ground. It is not possible to drive directly into the courtyard for safety reasons. Additionally, we contact Blue Badge holders in advance of the concerts and offer to reserve preferred seating (eg near toilets, at the end of a row)

What is the seating like?

All tickets are seated. There are 180 chairs under the tent, all under cover. The sides of the tent dip down but do not reach the floor. The seating area is set out in rows with two central aisles and good access around all areas. All aisles can accommodate a single wheelchair width. Chairs are not fixed and can be moved to accommodate other seating needs. The vast majority of chairs are the same cushioned chairs that we use for our indoor concerts, supplemented with additional fold up / wooden chairs.

Are there toilets close by?

Yes; there are toilets in the Stable Block (one set at each end) including accessible toilets.

Do you allow dogs to outdoor concerts?

We allow assistance dogs only.

Can I go inside the Granary?

The indoor areas of the Granary are closed to the public during courtyard concerts.

YOUR QUESTIONS ANSWERED

What if it is cold / rainy?

The tent is fully waterproof and rather cosy in the rain! (yes, it has been tested!) If it’s chilly, we bring out blankets and offer hot drinks in addition to the bar offering. Our courtyard concert regulars often come prepared, and bring their own blankets if it’s not warm and sunny

Are the concerts suitable for children?

We think so! It’s a great way to experience live music in a safe friendly and exciting environment. We’d suggest minimum age 5, but we are happy to leave it to visitors to decide what is appropriate for their families. We offer 50% reduction on tickets for under 25s.

What does the outdoor bar serve?

We have ale from Moonshine Brewery, Pimms, wine, soft drinks & juices. If the weather is cold, we serve tea and coffee. We also have ice creams from Saffron Ice Cream Company (from £3).

We accept both cash and cards.

How do I find out what food is available each night and do I need to book?

Please check the website listings or the appropriate page in this booklet. All food can be purchased on the night with no prior booking (cards & cash). Kura Kura (6 June) can be booked in advance by following the booking link on the website or in this booklet. Please note that only food and drinks purchased on site is allowed at our outdoor concerts.

Do you cater for dietary requirements?

We offer non-meat alternatives every evening. We can also cater for GF and vegan diets, subject to availability.

What time do the concerts start?

Doors open at 6:00pm (food & bar open). Concerts start at 7:30pm and end at 9:30pm with a 30 minute interval. We can’t open the gates before 6:00pm because we will be completing all our health and safety checks and staff briefing. (Please note that there is no waiting space on the road).

The concert has sold out: is it worth me turning up on the night?

Whilst we do occasionally get returned tickets, we operate a waiting list and will always try to reallocate returned tickets in advance, working our way through the list. Occasionally, we have a ‘no show’ on the door, but please note that we strictly adhere to our capacity numbers. Keep an eye on the website and social media for ticket updates.
