Traditional Training Methods

Page 1

1 Traditional Training Methods Employees training can be done using various methods, among them traditional tools. The ideal traditional method is the hands-on method. However, the need to train employees on hygiene and waste disposal requires that an effective training method be explored. The hands-on method allows the trainee to learn through practice. The trainee actively participates in learning by performing some roles. The trainer allows trainees to gain knowledge and skills needed to attain a specific objective through roles plays and actual performance of the tasks they are trained on (Noe, 2020). Trainees are educated on aspects that they feel they are not well informed about. In this case, the training would focus on hygiene in health care facilities, emphasizing the value of handwashing, proper waste disposal, and disinfection (Andersen, 2019). The trainees should demonstrate how to wash hands, disinfect rooms, and dispose of waste. The trainees are allowed to make mistakes and be corrected by the trainer. The method is reliable in gauging the trainees' understanding of their teaching ideas. The trainer can single out areas of weakness for emphasis during training.
