1 Journal Entry During practice, nurse practitioners encounter patients with different views of health and treatment. The nurse’s primary responsibility, in this case, is to ensure that the patient is furnished with relevant information concerning his or her health. The patients also need education on the treatment plan. This initiative is aimed at improving compliance and patient’s participation in their care. The nurse’s experience with the patients differs from one patient to another. Challenging Experience with Patient During practice, I have encountered several patients, who are either non-compliant with treatment or have a negative perception of healthcare. For instance, in one incident, two Indian male patients with diabetes mellitus presented to the facility for health assessment.
