Include citations and references from the topic study materials. 1. Summarize the concept of missio Dei (missional purpose). Your answer in 100-150 words: <Missio Dei refers to a Latin Christian theological term that means "mission of God" It is a concept that has become increasingly important in missiology and in understanding the mission of the church since the second half of the 20th century. It refers to the work of the church as being part of God's work. So, the church's mission is a subset of a larger whole mission; that is, it is both part of God’s mission to the world and not the entirety of God’s work in the world. The concept is essentially that the work or mission of the church is a subset of the work of God in the world, rather than something with an independent existence (Cooper, 2020). > 2. Summarize Buechner's concept of finding your purpose and explain how this aligns with the way you live out your worldview (missional purpose). Your answer in 100-150 words: <Buchner’s concept entails finding a purpose through work. It is based on the idea that if an individual enjoys his work which happens not to be meaningful, s/he has not found his purpose. It also implies that if an individual is doing meaningful work for the people, the sense is considered miserable. One is supposed to analyze and find sources of joy and how they can be used appropriately for God's service (Coyne, 2016). This is supposed to guide an individual on the required steps to help him or her life for that purpose. As an individual, I believe that my objective is to help others pass through life's challenging moments, and the faith that I have pushes me to help others. > 3. Reflect on your beliefs about origins (creational purpose) and describe how those beliefs contribute to your understanding of human purpose.
