1 Teacher Leadership In chapter four, Danielson (2006) describes the role played by school administrators in creating an environment and culture in which teacher leadership can develop. A school's culture is an essential factor in a successful instructional program. The aspect applies to my classroom instruction. As a teacher, I lead as I discharge my responsibilities and motivate my learners to undertake assigned roles successfully. I am also diligently working towards attaining the set goals in a school culture that promotes inclusivity. I strive to maintain a positive attitude to lead in the classroom despite the impending challenges in achieving the set goals/successfully. The aspect of teacher leadership and how school administrators can create a leadership culture is also evident in my professional relationships. Danielson (2006) asserts that to nurture influential teacher leaders, the school must embrace an "optimistic and rigorous educational mission to promote teacher leaders" (p. 126). As I discharge my duties, I strive to maintain a cordial working relationship with colleagues. We work as a team to collectively attain the set goals. On the other hand, I have collaborated with colleagues to achieve assigned tasks when confronted with a leadership challenge successfully.
