Conflict Management in Nursing

1 Conflict Management in the Nursing Profession My job description as a registered Nurse, duty includes bedside reporting. There was an occasion when the hospital was changing its protocols for reporting by introducing the new subject and patient detail forms that would help improve the narration and readability of the bedside reports. During the transition period to the new system, nurses would keep both the old and the new form for evaluation purposes. The first stage of the conflict was the possible failure by other nurses to abide by rules, which meant that the next nurse would fill the legacy or new form for them based on the information they left on one of the forms. The second stage is the perceived conflict as the nurse filling the details left out by the previous nurse feels frustrated by the actions of the previous nurse. The third stage is felt conflict where the nurse now recognizes that there is a deliberate attempt to cause frustration. In my situation, it happened after three occasions of informing the previous nurse via text message to fill both forms.
