Farmageddon: Livestocked and Loaded Expansion Pack

Meeple Monthly Issue 19 July 2014

Gloom 2nd Edition

Gloom: Unhappy Homes 2nd Edition

Gloom: Unwelcome Guests 2nd Edition

Just mix the 55 transparent cards included in this set together with your copy of Gloom to add morbid new Modifiers, Events, and Untimely Deaths, and a new family -- the artistes of Le Canard Noir, whose creative endeavors always end in disaster. Unhappy Homes adds new rules for Mysteries, Residences, and allows for an additional player in the game.

More variety is great, and that’s exactly what the FrankenCrops Expansion Pack offers to players. With 15 new Crop cards for farmers to fight over, each with a different ability while in play, the FrankenCrops expansion gives players an easy way to spice up their copy of Farmageddon. FrankenCrops is also compatible with the Livestocked and Loaded expansion. 15 new crop cards to add more mayhem and strategy to Farmageddon. Adding the expansion is as easy as shuffling it into the crop deck of the base game.

In the Gloom card game, you assume control of the fate of an eccentric family of misfits and misanthropes. The goal of the game is sad, but simple: you want your characters to suffer the greatest tragedies possible before passing on to the well-deserved respite of death. Play horrible ATG1350 mishaps like Pursued by Poodles or Mocked by Midgets on your own characters, while trying to cheer your opponents' characters with marriages and other happy occasions. Printed on transparent plastic cards, Gloom features an innovative design by Keith Baker. Multiple modifier cards can be played on top of the same character card; since the cards are transparent, elements from previously played modifier cards either show through or are obscured by those played above them. You'll immediately and easily know the worth of every character, no matter how many modifiers they have. You've got to see (through) this game to believe it! The second edition includes sturdy new packaging, rules fixes, timing icons, reminder cards, and more; plus it's fully compatible with the first edition game and supplements.

5TH20022 Farmageddon: The FrankenCrops Expansion Pack

Seventh Hero

Livestocked and Loaded changes the volatile fields of Farmageddon forever with the introduction of Animals and Weather! Learn new strategies to master the livestock! Each animal will give you a benefit, but only if you feed it one of your planted crops. Be the lookout for unexpected Weather cards, events shuffled into the crop deck that have unexpected effects when drawn. Prepare yourself for the hooved fury! The animals add a layer of strategy to the game & reward long-term planning. Weather cards add more variety and a touch of unpredictability to the game.

The Prophecy warns of the return of Maedoc the Corruptor, and of his dark hand stretching once more upon the land. It also speaks of seven heroes, bound by destiny to defeat him. In Seventh Hero, players recruit wandering heroes but must remain vigilant against some of Maedoc’s minions who pose as heroes in order to find and eliminate the true seven. The first player to assemble six heroes of Prophecy wins the game! The deck consists of cards numbered 1 to 7, each number representing a different hero. During the game, players will send cards around, face down, with some hints to what card it is. Players take turns choosing whether to recruit the hero or pass. The player AEG5813 who has six of the seven heroes immediately wins the game, otherwise the player with the most heroes when the deck runs out of cards wins.

When Boils Malone brought his family overseas to "get away from the heat," he wasn't expecting quite so much rain! Also inside are five new Character cards called Unwelcome Guests, which can move from family to family during the game; and Transformations. The new Malone family allows an additional player to join a game.

Each game allows for play by two players or one player, playing either side in the conflict. The Enemy Action series features: two-player competition with low complexity and constant decision points for both sides; solitaire play of either side with systems governing all aspects of enemy command and tactics; card-driven impulse system, with multi-purpose cards played to activate formations, implement command events, or gain tactical advantages in combat; and diceless and chartless combat system. CPA1018 Players draw combat chits that build a narrative of each combat. The first game in the series is Ardennes. The game portrays the German offensive against the western Allies in December 1944 -- the Battle of the Bulge. Each player controls the German or Allied side. When playing solo, the game system controls the other side. Modern War 13: The Next Lebanon War

Strategy & Tactics 286: Hindenburg's War Special Edition

The Next War in Lebanon is an operational level wargame of a speculative Israeli invasion of Lebanon in the near future. The context is an Israeli invasion with the goal of eliminating the presence of Hezbollah terrorist group, and presumes a much larger invasion than the 2006 incursion (which is also included as a scenario). One player is assigned the role of the IDF (Israeli Defense Force) commander, and the other player is assigned the role of the Hezbollah forces, as well as Syrian and Iranian forces if certain events occur to cause their entry into the game (or players may agree to have these additional forces in the mix from the beginning of the game instead). The game map features northern Israel and southern Lebanon, divided into 21 large hex territories, representing three categories of terrain: Urban (a major population center, such as the cities of Tyre, Sidon and Nabatiye), Populated (full of villages and small towns, and numerous roads), and Remote (rough terrain with few inhabitants or roads). Stacking in any hex zone is unlimited, and units move and conduct operations within these hex zones to win the game. DCGST288

Pathfinder RPG: Advanced Bestiary

Hindenburg’s War: Decision in the Trenches, 1918 (HW) is a strategic-level, twoplayer wargame of low complexity that covers the fighting on World War I’s western front during that final year of the war, from the start of the first German offensive on 21 March through Armistice Day on 11 November. The game’s subsystems are crafted to present a supreme-commander’s-eye-view of the war: it is therefore almost fully strategic in its perspective, with only the most pastel of operational undertones added to enhance historical tone and texture. Each hex on the map represents 9.31 miles (15 km) when measured from side to opposite side. Each full turn of play, other than the first and last, represents half a month. Every combat unit in the game represents one division of infantry or one brigade of tanks.

Junkers Ju 87 Stuka

Operation Market-Garden 1944 Book 1: The American Airborne Missions

In the opening days of the Blitzkrieg campaign, few aircraft could invoke as much terror as the Junkers Ju 87. Nicknamed the “Stuka” (an abbreviation of Sturzkampfflugzeug – the German term for “dive-bomber”), the Ju 87 was perhaps the most feared tactical bomber of the ETO. With its fixed landing gear and inverted gull wings, the Stuka was the most recognizable aircraft of the Blitzkrieg era. With profile plates, close-up photographs and battlescene artwork, this book reveals the design and development history of the aircraft and how the inclusion of its dive-activated siren changed it from a reliable and sturdy dive bomber into a psychological weapon, spreading panic in ground units. Mike Guardia goes on to explain how the Stuka became easy prey for Allied aircraft and how its influence waned in the final years of the war.

This edition can be played as a stand-alone game or mixed in with another Snake Oil edition for millions of hilarious new combinations! Party Potion is the easiest way to get started with Snake Oil. In the summer of 1944, plans began for a complex operation to seize a Rhine river bridge at Arnhem in the Netherlands. The American portion of the airborne mission was to employ two divisions of the US XVIII Airborne Corps to seize key terrain features that otherwise might delay the advance of British tanks towards the bridge. The 82nd and 101st Airborne Divisions succeeded in their tasks of capturing the vital bridges at Eindhoven at Nijmegen in the face of fierce German resistance. However, the delays caused to the British armored advance, combined with stronger than expected fighting at Arnhem led to the withdrawal of the remnants of the British 1st Airborne Division in one of the Western Allies’ most costly defeats of World War II. Contemporary photographs, maps and detailed color artwork complement extensive archival research that reveals the successes of those American airborne missions, largely overshadowed by the failure of the operation as a whole. P-38 Lightning Aces 1942-43

The first P-38s became operational with the 1st Fighter Group in April 1941, and the initial combat deployments were made in Alaska, the Southwest Pacific and North Africa during the latter part of 1942. Early pilots in this demanding fighter had a remarkable record of accomplishments that displayed a high degree of courage and innovation. Every theatre in which the United States was involved saw deployment of the P38, and more than 60 Lightning pilots were credited with at least five victories by the end of 1943. Featuring illustrations depicting P38 models from the E to the H-5 previously not known to the general public, unpublished photographs and new data, this volume presents a comprehensive and innovative account of some of these lesser known aces.

German Infantryman vs Soviet Rifleman: Barbarossa 1941

AV-8B Harrier II Units of Operation Enduring Freedom

The Axis invasion of the Soviet Union on 22 June 1941 pitted Nazi Germany and her allies against Stalin’s forces in a mighty struggle for survival. Fighting alongside the spearhead Panzer divisions were Germany’s highly skilled and veteran motorized infantrymen. Opposing these German mobile forces, the Soviets deployed the often ill-trained and poorly equipped men of the rifle regiments, who fought tenaciously and with the threat of savage reprisals from their own side. In this book three bruising clashes during the first seven weeks of the campaign are assessed – a bloody encounter battle at Zhlobin, the struggle for the destroyed city of Smolensk and then a prolonged clash along a dangerously stretched German defensive perimeter at Vas’kovo–Voroshilovo. OSPCOM104

In the 1970s the USMC bought the AV-8A Harrier from the UK whose VTOL capabilities allowed it to serve as a tactical aircraft that could deploy with Marine forces on amphibious assault ships and provide air cover and close air support from large deck aircraft carriers. Third in a trilogy on US Marine Corps Harrier IIs in combat, this covers the whole story of the AV-8B’s service employment during peacekeeping operations and then in Afghanistan. With profile artwork for all frontline AV-8B units detailing the unique colours and markings applied by each squadron, this volume presents the widest variety of first-hand accounts of AV-8B air operations and missions by pilots and ground forces involved in Operation Enduring Freedom published to date.

Across A Deadly Field: Regimental Rules for Civil War Battles

The American Civil War was a turning point in the history of warfare, as Napoleonic tactics met deadly new technology. Cannons and rifles had become more accurate at longer ranges, rapid-fire pistols gave cavalry a new weapon, and the telegraph and railroad completely altered both strategic and tactical thinking. Across a Deadly Field, the new regimental-level wargame from Osprey Publishing, allows players to recreate this tumultuous period of warfare on the tabletop. Its versatile rules make it possible to refight any battle, from the early skirmishes of Ball’s Bluff and Big Bethel to the grand, set-piece battles such as Gettysburg that decided the war. Written by John Hill, designer of the Johnny Reb series, Across a Deadly Field offers both new and experienced wargamers a fast-paced and dynamic game where even a single regiment can make the difference between victory and defeat. Apache Warrior 1860-86

MP 38 and MP 40 Submachine Guns

The idea of an Apache warrior still evokes a stereotyped response; that of an elusive, cunning, ferocious and cruel fighter. Focusing on the Chiricahua Apache, led by such famous warriors as Cochise Mangas Coloradas, Victorio, Nana and Geronimo, this book explains how their upbringing, training and culture equipped them uniquely for survival in the harsh environment of New Mexico and Arizona, and enabled them to fight off their Mexican and American enemies for so long. Specially commissioned, full-colour illustrations featuring ‘exploded’ kit scenes and battle artwork complement meticulous research that seeks to strip away the myths behind the history of some of the most feared opponents of the US Army in the south-west United States.

The entry of the US into World War II provided the Allies with the manufacturing and engineering might that finally gave them the ability to take the war to the German and Japanese forces across the world. During the course of the war, over 80,000 tanks were built by the Americans, almost twice what Germany and Britain built combined during the same period, and American tanks rapidly became the backbone of the Allied armored warfare effort against the Axis powers. The M4 Sherman, M3 Stuart and M3 Lee tanks poured out of American factories and onto battlefields providing the armored fist that allowed the Allies to turn the tide of the battle. Although less heralded than their tank output, the American heavy armor was ably supported by a dizzying array of Armored Fighting Vehicles (AFVs) and variants, half-tracks and armored cars, self propelled artillery, tank destroyers, armored recovery vehicles, amphibian tractors, and tracked landing vehicles or Amtracs. Highly illustrated and meticulously researched, American Tanks & AFVs of World War II details the full range of vehicles used during the war. OSPMYTH010 Charlemagne and the Paladins

The sequel to French Tanks of World War II (1), this title focuses primarily on France’s cavalry armored vehicles, including the light reconnaissance tanks such as the AMR and AMC families, the famous Somua S.35 cavalry tanks and the extensive array of armored half-track and armored cars used by the French cavalry. Specific attention is also paid to tanks considered important from a numerical standpoint such as the Hotchkiss H-35/H-39 series. Featuring specially commissioned profile artwork, photographs and illustrations, French Tanks of World War II (2) provides detailed insight into the background and design of these tank types and assesses their performance during the Battle of France.

American Tanks & AFVs of World War II (Hardcover)

French Tanks of World War II (2): Cavalry Tanks and AFVs

The MP5 Submachine Gun

Amidst the chaos and violence of Europe in the eighth century, Charlemagne became king of the Franks and established a large empire. As Charlemange’s power grew, so did the stories attached to his name. This book explores the myths and legends of the great king Charlemagne, from the stories about his mother, Bertha Bigfoot, and his youthful adventures with the thief, Basin, to his fantastical journeys to Jerusalem and Constantinople. It also retells the stories of his most famous knights, the Paladins. These brave warriors were all heroes in their own right, and included many famous names such as Roland, Ogier the Dane, Oliver, Archbishop Turpin, and Guy of Burgundy. Together with his Paladins, Charlemagne established a court to rival Camelot and led the Christian kingdoms of Europe in their ongoing struggles with the armies of the East. Although this great ruler eventually passed away, quietly in his bed, the legends say that he now sits on his golden throne beneath the mountain, waiting until the need of his people calls him forth again.

Nazi Germany's MP 38 and MP 40 submachine guns are among World War II's most recognizable weapons. Portable and with folding stocks, both were widely issued to airborne troops and became the hallmark of Germany's infantry section and platoon leaders. A million were produced during the conflict – and many found their ways into the hands of paramilitary and irregular forces from Israel to Vietnam after the war. WARMACHINE: Cygnar: Lieutenant Allison Jakes Solo

Lieutenant Allison Jakes comes in a blister (PIP 31104). A player may field one Lieutenant Allison Jakes in a Cygnar army.

Zombies Keep Out: Night of the Noxious Dead Expansion

The goblin bodgers’ workshop is on the verge of being overrun by a teeming mob of zombies—and now foul Stinkers have joined the ranks of the shambling dead! The stench of these vile zombies is so strong it practically glows, forcing even other zombies to keep their distance. Luckily the bodgers have a stockpile of new parts to build canny new defense contraptions. That might be just what they need to make it through the night! You must have Zombies Keep Out (PIP 60008) in order to play.

Initiate Tristan Durant is quite young and far from mastery, his face still bare of the mask of authority worn by full priests and his warcaster armor an unfamiliar burden. Yet Tristan stands ready to lead his battlegroup in defense against any who threaten the faithful of Menoth. He is gifted with the ability to see beyond the physical and intends to relentlessly pursue those deemed heretics or blasphemers. Once this warrior of the creator locates his quarry, he will not hesitate to cleanse the battlefield of them with the might of his blessed warjacks and holy fire. Initiate Tristan Durant comes in a blister (PIP 32012). A player may field one Initiate Tristan Durant in a Protectorate army. PIP33103

A natural at hit-and-run tactics, the bitter, reckless Gastone Crosse prefers to strike from a distance, whether with his powerful mechanikal pistol Gypsy Kiss or the cannons of his warjacks. He lends his arcane power to extending the range of his battlegroup's arms, while each kill provides them with a burst of arcane speed. Gastone Crosse comes in a blister (PIP 41111). A player may field one Gastone Crosse in a Cygnar or Protectorate army or in a Four Star or Talion Mercenary contract army.

Perhaps no man so perfectly expresses the spirit of the Great Crusade as Servath Reznik, a living weapon of his faith. For Reznik the world is a crucible of flame, and humanity stands at the precipice of annihilation. He is a furious legacy of the ancient world, a pitiless instrument of Menoth’s divine justice and the reckoning of heresies from ages long past. Woe to those who would defy the True Law! Servath Reznik, Wrath of Ages comes in a box (PIP 32099). A player may field one Servath Reznik, Wrath of Ages in a Protectorate army. PIP32102

A rising star in the Khadoran Military, Kovnik Andrei Malakov pushes the warjacks under his control to crush those who dare oppose him. Kovnik Andrei Malakov comes in a blister (PIP 33103). A player may field one Kovnik Andrei Malakov in a Khador army. PIP34102

The bloated bodies of bile thralls are walking vessels for volumes of corrosive digestive and decomposition agents, with hoses and tubes leading from their distended mouths and fabricated orifices to crude firing mechanisms. With a lurching spasm, each bile thrall can force a starting volume of caustic fluid out over a wide area to dissolve flesh and devour tempered metal. The Bile Thrall unit comes in a box (PIP 34102). A player may field up to three Bile Thrall units for each warcaster in a Cryx army.

She stands prepared to face any danger in service to the Retribution. As she darts from foe to foe, each kill imbues her myrmidons with power they in turn unleash against key targets. Elara, Tyro of the Third Chamber comes in a blister (PIP 35061). A player may field one Elara, Tyro of the Third Chamber in a Retribution army. 13

Outfitted with a crudely rigged bombard salvaged from a Khadoran Destroyer, Dozer is an impossible fusion of nature’s fury and mechanical destruction. From his perch atop Dozer, Smigg operates the wildly inaccurate bombard with surprising effectiveness and is revered as an ace by other pygs. So spectacular are their battlefield rampages that other blitzers are inspired by their example and strive to make every attack count. Dozer & Smigg come in a box (PIP 71086). A player may field one Dozer & Smigg in a Trollblood army.

Silent War: Imperial Japanese Navy

War Storm Series: 2: La Bataille de France 1940 √

In May, 1940, World War II took a turn that will change history forever—the German Army invaded France through the neutral countries of Belgium and Netherlands and thus avoiding the fearsome Maginot Line. The French Army, supposedly the best army of the time, felt far from any threat. Against all expectations, the neutral nations were quickly overrun, and the British Expeditionary Corps was forced to be evacuated, almost miraculously, from the channel port of Dunkirk. France capitulated in two months. This game recreates those events and allows players to reproduce, at a tactical level, the most famous battles of the CPA1025 “Blitzkrieg”. Based on the “A las Barricadas” game system, with new rules added to simulate to this historical period, France 1940 promises many enjoyable hours of fierce game play involving infantry, tanks, artillery, and aircraft from all the armies that took part in this campaign.

Dismember your miniatures in style! A high quality steel blade with tiny razorsharp teeth enables you to make precision cuts in all metal, resin and plastic miniatures.

IJN, Imperial Japanese Navy also brings new rules to SILENT WAR such as loners, crash dive, and targeting escorts, rules introduced in the follow on game, STEEL WOLVES. A must have expansion pack for any dedicated SILENT WAR player. Requires SILENT WAR to play.

Silent War

Silent War is a solitaire simulation of the United States' submarine war against Imperial Japan during the Second World War. The scenarios allow players to recreate various stages of the war or the entire campaign. In each of these scenarios, the player takes on the role of Commander Submarines, US Pacific Fleet (ComSubPac), deploying available submarines from either Pearl Harbor or Brisbane in order to attack the Japanese Navy. Additionally, in the patrol game, using single submarines, players can recreate some of the war's most famous patrols. The amount of flexibility the game allows the player is tremendous, a single subCPA1001 marine patrol can be completed in 10 minutes, the various campaigns can be completed in 10 or more hours depending on which campaign you play and your progress as commander.

World at War #37: Bloody Ridge: Guadalcanal, Sept 1941

Bloody Ridge: Guadalcanal, (BR for short) is a purpose-designed solitaire wargame of low complexity simulating the climactic Japanese night attack of that date. The attacked was aimed at nothing less than the capture of Henderson Field and the annihilation of the entire US ground force on the island. You are on the offensive, commanding the Japanese attack force that’s attempting to break through the US Marine defense. The rules system, with your help in handling the mechanics of the process, runs the Marine defense. You win by exiting one or more Japanese units off the north edge of the map, or by eliminating the 1st Marine Division headquarters. Each game turn of BR is equal to about two hours of “real time.” Each hexagon represents 125 yards from side to opposite side. Each unit-counter represents a fire-team, squad, platoon, company or some other similarly sized ad hoc grouping of infantry and/or support weapons. The effect of the historically important offmap USMC field artillery is covered by the bombardment rules.

GSDHMVIVA02 VivaJava: The Dice Game

GM Gems/DCC RPG/System Neutral Sourcebook (Hardcover)

Just like in the original VivaJava board game, in VivaJava Dice, players take on the roles of employees at the VivaJava CoffeeCo., scouring the globe for the best beans to keep the company on top while trying to keep themselves one step ahead of the rest of the executives. VivaJava Dice puts a quick, new twist on the crucial decision of the game: the choice between blending beans or research. Players may now use the dice in their pool to blend - using the beans to create a best-seller for quick points, then deciding whether to press their luck in subsequent rounds for bigger points but fewer dice as the blends degrade. Or they can choose to research, which involves using their valuable beans to gain an ever-changing variety of dice-manipulating abilities, new ways to score, and paths that lead to aiding a competitor for a later payoff or hindering that competitor for immediate gratification. VivaJava Dice also offers a unique system of cooperative dice-rolling that can help you rise to the top, but at the price of someone else riding your coattails. With an astounding mix of plug-and-play research abilities, subtle social play in semi-cooperative mode, and the chance to hog all the glory and blend the best for yourself, VivaJava Dice is all about choice, making each game fast and furiously different.

In Sons of Anarchy: Men of Mayhem players control rival gangs, competing to be the most successful outlaw club. Each turn players choose what sites of interest to fight for and what territories to yield. Negotiate, threaten and ally with rival gangs when it serves your needs but be wary of the inevitable knife in the back. The gang with the most cash at the end wins.

The game allows players to choose their character from the likes of Hamlet, Viola, Falstaff, Othello and Juliet in order to protect the realm from the influence of King Richard III and Lady Macbeth. Influence is at the heart of Kill Shakespeare. Players will affect the morale and health of territories as they work to liberate them from the Machiavellian influence of the King and his sorceress ally. The heroes will have to work together to battle troops, complete quests, and ward off events that would strengthen King Richard’s hold on the lands. What makes things more interesting is that Kill Shakespeare is a semi-cooperative experience. Players will need to work together to devote their resources to prevent Lady Macbeth and King Richard from either taking over the land or capturing the elusive bard, William Shakespeare. At the same time, they’ll need to hold back enough of their resource pool in order to complete their own quests so that their banner reigns supreme when the game ends.

Titanium Wars: Confrontation Expansion

Tales & Games 3: The Hare and the Tortoise

At the start of a race, each player secretly bets on two of four animals: turtle, rabbit, sheep, and duck. One animal is chosen at random for each IEL51112 player, then after receiving a hand of six cards, each player places one of his cards face-down (possibly the same animal) as an additional bet. Players then take turns laying down 1-4 cards, with all cards needing to show the same animal, then refilling the hand to five cards. As soon as seven total cards have been played or four cards of any one animal, the animals move (maybe). Each animal has a distinct characteristic that players can use to their advantage. The turtle always moves one space, but it moves two if four of its cards were played. The rabbit always moves two spaces — unless four cards are played and it's at the head of the pack, in which case it sleeps and doesn't move. The duck moves as many spaces as the number of cards played. The sheep moves one more space than the number of cards played — but if it reaches grass, it stops moving for the round. (The track consists of eleven road cards, two covered with grass.) After the animals move, players start a new round of card-playing. A round ends when three of the four animals reach the goal, after which each player scores points based on the ranking of the animals and how he bet. After three rounds, the player with the most points wins.

Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-21

The MiG-21 (NATO reporting name Fishbed) firmly holds the title of the world’s most widely built and used jet fighter, with more than 10,000 units rolling off the lines of three plants in the former Soviet Union. The type was also built under license in India and Czechslovakia, and without license in China until the late 2000s. Designed as a Mach-2 light tactical fighter, its original prototype, the Ye-6/1, was first flown in 1958. The first production variant of the type, designated the MiG-21F, appeared in 1960 and its improved sub-variant, the MiG-21F-13 (Type 74, NATO reporting name Fishbed-C), was made available for export by 1961. Hong Kong 1941-45: 1st Strike in the Pacific War

On 8th December 1941, as part of the simulOSPCAM263 taneous combined attack against Pearl Harbor, the Imperial Japanese Army (IJA) invaded the Philippines, Thailand and Malaysia and the British colony of Hong Kong. After only 18 days of battle the defenders, a weak, undermanned brigade, were overwhelmed by a superior force of two battle-hardened IJA divisions. What defines the battle of Hong Kong was not the scale - just 14,000 defended the colony - but the intensity of this battle, fought not only by the British Army, Navy and Air Force but also Canadians, Hong Kong’s own defence force, the Indian Army and many civilians. The campaign itself is characterized by a fierce land battle, with long artillery duals and as well as fast naval actions with intense actions at the Gin Drinkers Line as well as the battle of Wong Nai Chung Gap where a handful of defenders took on an entire Japanese regiment. Less known but equally important are individual acts valour such as CSM John Robert Osborne winning a posthumous VC, throwing himself over a Japanese grenade to save fellow combatants.

Like Fluxx, Regular Show Fluxx is a card game in which the cards themselves determine the current rules of the game. By playing cards, you change numerous aspects of the game: how to draw cards, how to play cards, and even how to win. At the start of the game, each player holds three cards and on a turn a player draws one card, then plays one card. Regular Show Fluxx features characters and situations from the Regular Show animated series on Cartoon Network.

Realm of Light focuses on the Lightsworn Deck theme, which has been a very popular Deck for a KOI89922 number of years; reprints of Lightsworn cards have been the primary drivers for other products. Now with Realm of Light, this 41-card set contains 4 brand new cards and 37 reprints, including 1 new card created specifically for the Americas market! Lightsworn Monsters are blessed with incredible effects, high ATK/DEF, or both; this Structure Deck comes with the most powerful of the Lightsworn forces and allies from the Yu-Gi-Oh! GX era and beyond. Lightsworn has never had Extra Deck monsters before, but that all changes with an all-new Syncro Monster, Michael, the ArchLightsworn, capable of banishing any enemy card while refilling your Deck and your Life Points! The Deck also includes 2 Lightsworn Tuner monsters! Finally, a vulnerability of Lightsworn Decks is finally redressed with Lightsworn Sanctuary, a world-premiere Spell Card!

Spurs: A Tale in the Old West

Players take turns moving around the main board, carrying out classic activities of the Old West, like taking on cattleMIB1006 herding jobs, bank robbing, or engaging in horse-breaking; if you are good at riding, you might end up with a nice stallion to sell! Gunslingers can go searching for wanted outlaws in the badlands or take on jobs to escort stagecoaches or deal with gangs of Desperados. Hunters will seek out wildlife in the forests (be careful as some animals might hunt you instead), while others might seek fortune by searching for gold in the mountains or gambling in the town saloons. Be careful though, as you never know when other players will challenge you to a duel and try to rob you! Will you become the next Legend of the Old West?

When venturing in Limbo at the edge of the galaxy, scouts found a new form of energy: Titanium. First experiments showed it could push back the frontiers of technology, and even open new horizons for human capabilities. This news was more than enough to stir up the greed of humankind's greatest factions. Each has sent fleets to take over nearby planets where Titanium is abundant – and even seems to be in constant expansion. From that point on, armed conflicts were bound to happen, and this war will be settled only by controlling the Titanium deposits. As leaders of these great factions in Titanium Wars, players will purchase buildings to master new technologies and increase their earnings, build their own fleet of custom battleships to defeat their opponents, and expand their space empire. They will have to prove bold, insightful and tactful if they want any chance to win this fierce war. This is the first expansion for Titanium Wars and adds new Arsenal cards, Tactical cards, Planets, Leaders and more!

Alesia 52 BC: The final struggle for Gaul

In 52 BC Caesar’s continued strategy of annihilation had engendered a spirit of desperation, which detonated into a revolt of Gallic tribes under the leadership of the charismatic young Arvernian noble Vercingetorix. Major engagements were fought at Noviodunum, Avaricum, and Gergovia, with the last action being the most serious reverse that Caesar faced in the whole of the Gallic War. However, Vercingetorix soon realized that he was unable to match the Romans in pitched battle. Taking advantage of the tribesmen’s superior knowledge of their home territory, Vercingetorix began a canny policy of small war and defensive manoeuvres, which gravely hampered Caesar’s movements by cutting off his supplies. For Caesar it was to be a grim summertime – his whole Gallic enterprise faced disaster. In the event, by brilliant leadership, force of arms, and occasionally sheer luck, Caesar succeeded in stamping out the revolt in a long and brutal action culminating in the siege of Alesia. Vercingetorix finally surrendered and Alesia was to be the last significant resistance to the Roman will. Never again would a Gallic warlord independent of Rome hold sway over the Celts of Gaul.

Although the myriad of alliances and suspicions that existed between the Russian, German, and Austro-Hungarian empires in the early 20th century proved to be one of the primary triggers for the outbreak of the First World War, much of the actual fighting between these three nations has been largely forgotten in the West. Whilst battles such as Ypres, the Somme, and Passchendaele have been inscribed deeply on the public consciousness, with the exception of perhaps Tannenberg, the conflicts in the East do not hold the same recognition. In his new book, Prit Buttar seeks to correct this imbalance with a new insight into the fighting in the East – a magisterial account of the chaos and destruction that reigned when three powerful empires collided. His harrowing narrative is driven by first-hand accounts and new, detailed archival research to create a dynamic retelling of the tumultuous events of the first year of the war, examining the battles of Masurian Lakes and Tannenberg in East Prussia, followed by the Russo–Austrian clashes in Galicia, the failed German advance towards Warsaw, and the vicious fighting in the Carpathian mountains. Buttar reveals how delays in adapting to a modern war and inadequacies in supply and support arrangements, combined with a failure to plan for a long war, left the three powers struggling to keep up with events, leaving the Central Powers coming to terms with the dreaded reality of a war on two fronts whilst slowly driving Russia towards revolution. A war that was initially seen by all three powers as a welcome opportunity to address both internal and external issues would ultimately bring about the downfall of them all.

OSPCOM103 F9F Panther Units of the Korean War

In 1948 the USAF, Marine Corps and US Navy were concentrating on converting over to an all-jet force. When the Korean War started in June 1950, the USAF had built up a sizable jet force in the Far East, while the US Navy was in the early stages of getting F9F Panthers operational as replacements for its piston-engined F8F Bearcats. At about this time, the Marine Corps had also begun using the Panthers in limited numbers. Operating from aircraft carriers off the Korean coast, F9Fs helped stop the North Korean invasion within two weeks of the communists crossing the 38th Parallel. The Panthers, escorting carrier-based AD Skyraiders and F4U Corsairs, penetrated as far north as Pyongyang, where they bombed and strafed targets that the North Koreans thought were out of range. The Panthers also took the battle all the way to the Yalu River, long before the MiG-15s became a threat. The F9F’s basic tasking was aerial supremacy and combat air patrols, but they also excelled in bombing and strafing attacks. OSPCOM105

Axis Midget Submarines: 1939-45

Sleeping Dragon, Rising Sun: A Companion for In Her Majesty’s Name $17.95

During World War II, Germany, Japan, and Italy built approximately 2,000 small, inherently stealthy, naval craft to perform special operations and conventional naval missions. Much more numerous and more technically advanced than their Allied counterparts, they saw service worldwide, operating in the Pacific, Mediterranean, Black Sea, Indian Ocean, North Sea, and the English channel. Manned by courageous crews, these vessels made daring attacks on Allied ships in heavily protected anchorages using torpedoes and mines. Most notable were attacks against Gibraltar – launched from an Italian cargo vessel interred in nearby neutral Spain that had been converted into a clandestine support base and equipped with an underwater hatch – and Pearl Harbor. They were used against shipping in coastal waters and, near the end of the war, in desperate attempts to offset their opponents’ overwhelming naval superiority during the US advance across the Pacific and the Allied amphibious landings in France and Italy. This volume will detail the history, weapons, and operations of German, Japanese, and Italian midget submarines.

From its first public demonstration at the Farnborough Airshow of 1949, the English Electric Canberra bomber captured the attention of the aviation world. It could outmaneuver all the fighters of the time and it could climb way above their operating ceilings. Yet this Cold War equivalent of the Mosquito was simple to maintain and a delight to fly, although it could bite any pilot who did not treat it with respect. The Canberra B 2 first flew on 21 April 1950 and entered frontline service with No 101 Sqn in May 1951. In a testament to the aircraft's benign handling characteristics, the transition OSPCOM105 program consisted of only 20 hours in the Gloster Meteor and three hours in the dualcontrol Canberra trainer. With a maximum speed of 470 knots (871 km/h), a standard service ceiling of 48,000 ft (14,600 m) and the ability to carry a 3.6-tonne (7,900-lb) payload, the Canberra was an instant success.

China, the greatest empire the world had ever known, is weak and divided after a series of humiliating defeats in the Opium Wars, and the divine Empress’ court harbors many who deeply resent the westerners who inflicted and now take advantage of these losses. Japan, on the other hand, has embraced the West with open arms. After centuries of isolation the Japanese now march forwards and accept technologies that, a few decades before, would have been regarded as witchcraft. Possessed of the East’s most modern army, Japan now looks avariciously towards its neighbors. The next decade will decide whether the ancient empires of the East survive or are washed away, and every one of the Great Powers wants their slice.

Carlson’s Marine Raiders: Makin Island 1942 $18.95

On August 17–18, 1942, 211 men of the US Marine Corps’ 2nd Raider Battalion conducted a daring amphibious raid on the Japanese-occupied Makin Island in the South Pacific. This ambitious but flawed operation was intended to divert Japanese reinforcements bound for Guadalcanal, over 1,000 miles to the southwest, in the wake of the US landings there ten days earlier; the Raiders were to destroy the seaplane base and radio station, take prisoners, and collect intelligence. Although yielding limited results, it was to be an invaluable test of the innovative training and tactics employed by the Raiders, and a OSPRAID044 crucial boost to national morale at this difficult stage in the war. Featuring specially commissioned full-color artwork and expert analysis, this gripping account of the fateful Makin Raid tells the whole story, from the plan’s conception to its troubled execution and aftermath. Soviet Partisan 1941–44

The partisan war in the Soviet Union from 1941 to 1944 has been the subject of considerable political manipulation in the decades following 1945. In great part this was due to the need to project the image of a country united behind Joseph Stalin and the Communist regime when the truth was much more complex than that. The opening weeks of Operation Barbarossa had exposed the lack of unity in the Soviet Empire as nationalist and anti-Communist groups emerged in the western provinces such as Belo Russia, Galicia, Bukovina, Ukraine and the Baltic states of Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia. Consequently it was vital for the survival of the Soviet Union that such groups were countered in situ and that the authority of Moscow was maintained in what were known as the Occupied Territories. During the summer of 1941 plans, dormant since the 1930s, for the conduct of partisan warfare behind the lines of an invading force were resurrected. The plans were intended to make life for the invaders as problematic as possible by acts of sabotage, but most important of all to maintain the physical presence of Soviet authority.
