Chopstick Dexterity Mega Challenge 3000 is a dexterity game in which the object is to collect the MYY4314 most tokens by using chopsticks to pick up the object shown on a token. The theme is presented as a TV game show intended to promote the use of chopsticks among Japanese youth. 25 objects are put in a plastic bowl which are 5 colors and 5 shapes. Tokens start shuffled and placed facedown, and then one is drawn. To win the token, players simultaneously compete to get wooden pieces represented on it. Using only chopsticks, players try to grab specific wooden shapes or colors from a large bowl to their personal target dish. In the three player game, all players must grab all of the pieces which are either the shape or the color shown on the token. Whoever grabs the most objects wins the token. If there is a tie, the tied player with the exact shape shown on the token wins. In the two player game, the players must grab only the exact piece shown on the token. After each round, the token is awarded and the objects returned to the bowl to start the next round. Play continues until a certain number of tokens are won. In the solo version, the player is given 75 seconds to remove the pieces from the bowl with their chopsticks to place each piece in a grid with each row given to one of the shapes and each column given to one of the colors.

The game is played in two rounds. In the first round each player may dive deeper, providing they have the "Swim" and "Air" cards to do so.

Players press their luck each turn since it is the pirate who dives the deepest in round one and resurfaces in round two who is the winner. Players can play "Panic", "Shark" and other nasty cards on the other players, slowing their progress. In the second round each player struggles to reach the surface before they run out of air and therefore decide to take a rest (aka lose). Most of the pirates may not make it back to the surface, but the one who makes it back alive and dove the deepest is the winner. 2-4 players. Ages 6+.

The German Jagdpanther and Soviet SU-100, both turretless tank-destroyer designs based on a ‘traditional’ turret-tank chassis, were the culminating examples of how the progression of experience, resources and time constraints produced vehicles that were well suited for roles of defense and offence, respectively. The appearance in July 1915 of Germany’s Fokker E I, armed with interrupter gear that allowed its machine gun to fire forward without striking the propeller, heralded a reign of terror over the Western Front that the Allies called the ‘Fokker Scourge’. Among several alternative means for countering the Fokkers – until the Allies introduced practical synchronisation mechanisms of their own – was the French Nieuport 11, a single-seat version of the Nieuport 10 sesquiplane (‘one-anda-half wing’) mounting a Lewis machine gun above the upper wing, firing over the airscrew. Nicknamed the Bébé because of its comparatively small size, the Nieuport 11 was, though less robust than true biplanes, superior in structure and overall performance to the German monoplane. During 1916 the Nieuport 11, and its more powerful but more difficult to control stablemate, the Nieuport 16, battled a succession of improved Fokkers, the E II, E III and E IV, until the Germans abandoned the monoplane in favour of a new and deadly generation of biplane fighters.

The Carthaginians 6th–2nd Century BC

Carthage, the port-city in Tunisia first settled by Phoenicians from Tyre, grew to extend a competitive maritime trading empire all over the Western Mediterranean and beyond, increasingly defended by the best navy of the period. In the 6th century BC this came into confrontation with Greek colonists in Sicily, starting major wars that lasted through the 5th and 4th centuries, and involved much interaction with different Greek forces. During the 3rd century Carthage first clashed with Roman armies, and in the course of three wars that raged over Spain, Sicily and Italy the Romans suffered the greatest defeats in their early history at the hands of Hamilcar, Hannibal and Hasdrubal Barca, leading multinational armies of North Africans and Europeans.

In 1217 England was facing her darkest hour, with foreign troops pillaging the country and defeat close at hand. But, at the battle of Lincoln, the seventy-year-old William Marshal led his men to a victory that would secure the future of his nation. Earl of Pembroke, right-hand man to three kings and regent for a fourth, Marshal was one of the most celebrated men in Europe, yet is virtually unknown today, his impact and influence largely forgotten. The inability of the Italians and Germans to invade Malta proved decisive for Allied victory in the Mediterranean during World War II, as the islands provided the Allies with a base from which to project air power. Early Italian efforts to pound the islands into submission were supplemented by major German forces from January 1942 and in a few weeks the situation for the defenders reached a critical stage; in response, in March 1942 the first Spitfires were delivered to Malta.

Throughout the summer C.202s fought over Malta, escorting tiny formations of Cant Z.1007s, SM.79s and Ju 88s. The fighting subsided in August and September, but grew in strength with the arrival of more C.202s. In October the Regia Aeronautica could muster three Gruppi with a total of 74 C.202s. For ten days the Italians pressed a relentless attack before attrition brought the offensive to a halt. Throughout the bombing campaign the British were able to supply Malta with ever increasing numbers of Spitfires.

The Hanseatic League was a commercial and defensive federation of merchant guilds based in harbor towns along the North Sea and Baltic coasts of what are now Germany and her neighbors, which eventually dominated maritime trade in Northern Europe and spread its influence much further afield. The League was formed to protect the economic and political interests of member cities throughout a vast and complex trading network. The League continued to operate well into the 17th century, but its golden age was between c.1200 and c.1500; thereafter it failed to take full advantage of the wave of maritime exploration to the west, south and east of Europe. During its 300 years of dominance the League’s large ships called ‘cogs,’ were at the forefront of maritime technology, were early users of cannon, and were manned by strong fighting crews to defend them from pirates in both open-sea and river warfare. The home cities raised their own armies for mutual defense, and their riches both allowed them, and required them, to invest in fortifications and gunpowder weapons, since as very attractive targets they were subjected to sieges at various times.

Freed from the hampering influence of gravity, heavy vectors equipped with this technology—such as the Conservator, Assimilator, and Modulator—gain unparalleled freedom of movement. The Conservator is equipped with heavy shields and low-traction gyros that allow it to intercept attacks. The Assimilator fires its dissevering microswarm launcher to shower the target area with an explosion of bladed gears. Coruscating with electrostatic energy along its hull, the Modulator can channel this charge into a bolt of pure energy that electrocutes everything in its path. This box set contains three color stat cards and one multi-part heavy vector plastic model (PIP 36014). Included are all the components to assemble one of three heavy vector variants: Assimilator, Conservator, or Modulator. A player may field any number of these vectors in a Convergence army.

Designed and produced under the regulations of the Washington Naval Treaty, the heavy cruisers of the Pensacola, Northampton, Portland, New Orleans and Wichita classes were exercises in compromise. While they possessed very heavy armament – the Pensacolas, for example, carrying a main battery of ten 8” guns – this came at the cost of protection – armor was the same thickness as a gun cruiser, and incapable of protecting the vessels from enemy 8” fire. As the classes evolved, these flaws began to be corrected, with the main battery being reduced, and increased protection being added to the vital areas of the ship. Despite these drawbacks, the pre-war heavy cruiser classes served with distinction throughout World War II.

In Kingdom Builder, the players create their own kingdoms by skillfully building their settlements, aiming to earn the most gold at the end of the game. Nine different kinds of terrain are on the variable game board, including locations and castles.

During his turn, a player plays his terrain card and builds three settlements on three hexes of this kind. If possible, a new settlement QNG61131F must be built next to one of that player’s existing settlements. When building next to a location, the player may seize an extra action tile that he may use from his next turn on. These extra actions allow extraordinary actions such as moving your settlements.
