Our team are here to support and serve your church
Our National and State Reps are here to offer guidance, resources, and ideas to help you engage with your community.
Welcome to our first Community Engagement magazine!
Over the past 12 years, ACC churches have become renowned for their commitment to engaging with their local communities. Ten years ago, 62% of our churches were actively involved in community engagement; today, it’s over 93%! Well done, everyone!
We know that finding fresh ideas for engaging your community seven days a week can be challenging, or that the thought of starting a largescale program can feel overwhelming. Thanks to WA leader Aaron Pryce and Chosen Church, we now have a menu of innovative, adaptable ideas that meet community needs while building on the strengths in your local context. The best part? These ideas can be implemented by churches of any size and budget.
As you explore these ideas, remember that the most successful churches in community engagement aren’t just those with lots of programs. The churches that see the most growth and life change are those who build genuine relationships with their communities. These ideas prioritise connection and relationship over simply doing outreach.
We’d love to hear which ideas worked best for you! Please share your stories with us at acccommunityengagement.org.au by clicking the ‘Stories’ icon.
If you’re looking for further training in community engagement, we’ve partnered with Alphacrucis University College (AC) to offer the Undergraduate Certificate in Community Services. Additionally, for training your team to mobilise every day of the week, check out Mobilise Australia at mobilise.au.
We hope this magazine inspires you to engage even more deeply with your community!
