Are you ready to Fringe? TIFF is now a ten day performing arts festival taking place at venues across historic Ybor City. The shows are unjuried, uncensored — meaning they were actually selected out of a hat! Shows come from as near as across town and as far as South Africa and Japan, this is truly an international affair. Two rock musicals, two magic shows, and too many shows to talk about here. If you want a button they are $3 and it will help support the festival and get you dis32
counts across Ybor City at “Fringe Friendly” businesses. The Dirty Shame (1929 E. 7th Ave.) will act as this year’s Fringe Central. The Shame will be the place to go to get information in person, free outdoor performances, and after-hour socializing with fellow Fringers. Some new shows added: God is a Scottish Drag Queen from Canada, The Sibyl of Mars: a female sci-fi solo show from Seattle’s Nicol Cabe, Tim Mooney with Breakneck Hamlet, Darren McCracken’s Big Bad Birthday Party, and more. www.tampafringe.org
