All students at Académie Lafayette International High School participate in the International Baccalaureate (IB) Middle Years Programme (MYP) and International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (DP) all four years of attendance. All ninth and tenth grade students work to earn the nationally and internationally recognized Middle Years Programme Certificate after completing 10th grade and passing the MYP Personal Project. Students entering eleventh grade choose between three paths in the Diploma Programme:
1. Comprehensive IB Diploma, which includes six required DP courses: Theory of Knowledge course, the Extended Essay, completing CAS (Creativity, Activity, Service experiences) Students can earn the prestigious IB Diploma in this option
2. Bilingual IB Diploma, which has the same requirements as above, but requires completion of the Environmental Science and Society course in French.
3. IB Diploma Course Certificate(s) options, which allows students to select which IB DP courses to take based upon preference and skill Students can earn IB DP Course Certificates instead of the full IB Diploma following this option.
