The year 2026 is here, brand new! It comes with a lot of expectations and anticipations. You can hear people saying “new year, new me!” Others have resolutions drawn out and goals they intend to achieve. I must be better this year, they say. Something inside them stirs them for more. I call it a dream. Tell me, do you have one? That thing that inspires you to get up in the morning and keep going. No matter how big or ridiculously crazy it might be, you have to believe it's attainable.
Having a dream is the first step; the next is to dedicate yourself to its manifestation. This is where the work comes in. The Bible says, "The thoughts of the righteous tend only to plenteousness..." (Proverbs 12:5). When you are certain that your dream is inspired by God, you then employ the power of meditation—Biblical meditation.
Biblical meditation involves partaking the word of God and allowing it to fill your mind, pondering on it over and over. This practice enables you to expand your mental capacity. Over time, it births tangible results: "light bulb" moments, ideas and strategies that help you achieve your dreams; and to establish the cause of God in the earth. This truly is how man was designed to live: by inspiration from the inner man.
Joshua 1:8 puts it this way, “This book shall not depart out of thy mouth, but thou shalt meditate therein day and night… then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and thou shalt have good success.” What a principle! And it's available for anyone. This year, choose to meditate your way to success.

IN PURSUIT OF COMMUNION
As students of the Bible, we can pick up on clues Jesus left in His life. Journey with me as we observe lessons from Jesus’ prayer life. And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed (Mark 1:35). This scripture shows the importance Jesus gave to His time of prayer. He strongly believed in the principle of a closet, a place of effective prayer where it was Him and God alone. He rose early, a great while before day. It must have been about 3:00 am. He took his personal prayer as the number one thing on His daily agenda. The first part of the day was for communion with is Father.
Jesus often went to a solitary place where he could sing and pray as loud as he wished, using whatever posture he deemed fit, without disturbing or drawing the attention of anyone. He had enough time to talk and listen to his Father. He shut the door to many people and things. The Bible says he went out. That means He left his disciples and others who were most likely in a house. In pursuit of communion with God, we have to suspend presence from others to attain the attention of the greatest one.
Would you like to attend one of those moments between Jesus and God the Father? How did He really pray? Was He emotional? The word gives us a glimpse into that part of our saviour, “Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared.” (Hebrews 5:7)
Jesus prayed with strong cries. He was loud in His prayer time. God doesn’t necessarily hear us because we are loud, but loud replicates how loud our prayer items are to us. It's how fervent we are in prayer. “... The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availleth much.” (James 5:16). Prayer is like a maternity room where things are being birthed in the spirit. Sometimes it gets to be emotional and noisy.
Jesus laid down the perfect example that we can follow after. He pursued communion with the Father, offering many prayers in different ways. It's like how sacrifices were offered to God. It cost something; it was a bit inconvenient but worth the ultimate benefit. Choose to pattern your life in like manner.

Testimonies
Katale, Seguku| A few months after their wedding, the Kasozi’s dreamt of owning land along Entebbe Road. Together, they tabled this desire before the Lord and waited patiently. Years went by, and their dream seemed so far; other responsibilities crept in. The Kasozi’s prayed tirelessly in agreement for the fulfillment of this dream. After 8 years their answer came in a manner they didn’t expect. The Lord moved a couple to gift them a portion of land. This land is situated in the desired location that they prayed for all these years. What a God we serve!
Kitende, Entebbe| In the year 2020, Lydia received instructions from the Lord concerning her career life, which she obeyed. The instruction said, “Sit here until I build your new offices.” Little did she know that the company she was joining was building new offices. Lydia stood in prayer to see the fulfillment of this word and work. In July 2025, the construction was completed; and the team moved to their new location. However, this came with a lot more responsibilities. Her career life took up most of her time! She felt cheated of her family time and ministry life. Yet her supervisor refused to acknowledge her efforts. Lydia found solace in the Lord. She held on to the word of the year, “Exceeding Peace and Perfection” and rested in the Lord. She found strength to do all that was assigned to her and more. Lydia is grateful to the Lord, who forearmed her, knowing what she was to walk through. Before the year 2025 came to a close, Lydia finished her assignments ahead of her colleagues. And her supervisors publicly appreciated her for the hard work despite the load. Her image turned, and her name was cleared. Glory to the all-knowing God.

Object Lesson of a Road
“Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”
I took a picture of a road down in the country where my ancestors lived. It is a quiet gravel road with the trees almost touching above, having sprinkled their leaves across its dirt path.
There are many types of roads that take us to different destinations. Some are paved and crowded with cars speeding by, while others are quiet and peaceful but can become muddy when it rains. Roads are a lot like life.
Think about all the roads you will go down today; each one leads to a different destination. Sometimes we may get wrong directions and go down a wrong road, never reaching the destination we desire.
In the Old Testament God spoke through the prophets, and they pointed to the coming of the Messiah, a Savior. He gave directions. God knew we would still make wrong turns, though; that’s why from the beginning of time Jesus planned to come to earth in human flesh to not only show us the way but to be the Way.
Here in John 14:6, Jesus says He is the way, the only way, to God the Father. Today as you travel, cross, or see different roads, let them cause you to ponder on the spiritual road you are traveling in life. Are you trusting Jesus as your Savior, as your way back to God the Father, who is in Heaven? If not, let today be the beginning of your journey with Him! Turn back to God and invite Jesus to be your Savior and Way.
If you already are a follower of Christ, then today be joyful and overflowing with gratitude so that you can share with others this Good News of the Way that leads to true life! Invite others to join you on this Jesus journey!
