Greater Grace

You can easily recognize when and where God is involved. If someone or something is of God, “…He gives more grace…” for its success (James 4:6)

God’s grace, also known as God’s favour, makes a whole lot of a difference on how far and fast we go in life and ministry. Grace is one of the things Jesus, the Son of Man, had to grow up in for Him to be able to fully function in His assignment (Luke 2:52). That tells us there are levels in the grace of God. You can grow from one level of grace to the next.

By the time Jesus stepped into ministry at the age of 30 years, He was “…full of grace and truth” (1 John 1:14). That fullness of grace no doubt explains why His life and ministry was irresistible to both men and demons. The effectiveness and impact of His life and ministry was far-reaching.

Thank God that His grace did not stop with Jesus. It has extended to His body – the Church. As believers, we have all received from the fullness of the grace upon Jesus: “For out of His fullness (abundance) we have all received [all had a share and we were all supplied with] one grace after another and spiritual blessing upon spiritual blessing and even favor upon favor and gift [heaped] upon gift. For while the Law was given through Moses, grace (unearned, undeserved favor and spiritual blessing) and truth came through Jesus Christ.” (John 1:16-17)

What are we to do with the grace of God? First, we, like Jesus, need to grow in grace: “…grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ” (2 Peter 3:18). Next, we need to do the same thing that Jesus did with the grace of God on Him. He “…went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him” (Acts 10:38).

That’s what the early church did and the results were no different for them: “…the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul… And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all. Neither was there any among them that lacked” (Acts 4:32-34)

Have you noticed that great grace comes with multiple results? Yes, it even abolished lack in the early Church. Think about it. If great grace could put an end to lack in the early church, what will become of the end-times church when greater grace shows up? The Bible gives us the answer: “… the Lord shall comfort Zion: he will comfort all her waste places; and he will make her wilderness like Eden, and her desert like the garden of the Lord; joy and gladness shall be found therein, thanksgiving, and the voice of melody” (Isaiah 51:3). This is exactly what our country and cities are looking for, and it is one of the marks of the Hopecell Network.

Night of Light

We are walking and winning our way into 2025 in the strength of divine performance, and we shall crown this journey with a Night of Light at Abundant Life Faith Centre on 31st December 2024. Join us for a spiritual time and experience that will mark your mouth and mind for a higher order of life in 2025.

We are confronted with so much on a daily basis, but usually it’s just one thing you need to do: see the manifestation of God’s power or his glorious intervention. We need to seek the Lord for that one thing. In Apostle Paul’s pursuits of the knowledge of God, he got a revelation that he should do only one thing, not many. have apprehended, but this ONE THING I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forth unto those things which are before”. (Philippians 3:13)

What is the one thing God that has shown you to turn your situation around? Many times, we end up doing the many, yet it requires only one thing. Jesus one day had been invited to heal the daughter of a ruler of a synagogue. On his way to heal her, she was pronounced dead to the ruler. Jesus overheard that bad news being relayed. As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, he saith unto the ruler of the synagogue, be not afraid, only believe (Mark 5:36).

Jesus had a one-thing remedy; remove fear and ONLY BELIEVE! Jesus had a one-step solution to such a great problem. To raise a dead girl. It was a very short sermon for a very great miracle.

Our exits from potentially very trying situations usually require one exit door. We need to hear that one word; we need to meet that one person; we need to see that one exit door in the midst of the smoke. Jesus prescribes a one-action exit to situations around us. Let us seek to find it.

There was a very rich young ruler who was rigorously keeping the dictates of the law, but his inner conscience made him believe he hadn’t qualified for salvation. Jesus heard these things, he said unto him, yet lackest thou ONE THING: sell all that thou hast, and distribute unto the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me”. (Luke 18:22)

Jesus prescribed one solution to his problem of eternal life. In the verses above, the young ruler had done and not done so many things. Let us not complicate what confronts us. It normally needs a one-thing solution, not a ‘seven steps’ one. Let us humble ourselves before our God to show us the way into his promises or promised land.

Kitende, Entebbe | Kristin and her husband desired to have another child. They made plans and were set for pregnancy as before. However, Kristin suffered three miscarriages that almost claimed her life. Her doctor then told her that it would be impossible for her womb to carry a baby. The news hit hard, but they believed God could do anything. Her and her husband chose to believe the report of God. At this point, they rested over the idea of having another child. A few months after this, she discovered she was pregnant without a plan. This pregnancy was very exhausting and took a toll on her health. The doctor put her on complete bed rest and strictly monitored her. The home cell members and some church members continually prayed with her. Even when she felt like giving up, they encouraged her. Her womb carried to full term, and she safely delivered a healthy baby boy as she had desired. Glory and honour be to God!

Katale, Makindye | David testifies of the healing hand of the Lord in the life of his daughter. Grace is almost four years old. About 4 months ago, a rash appeared on her face around the right eye. David prayed and declared the word of God concerning her life in Jeremiah 30:17. He trusted God to see it restored back to order. The skin issue only grew worse as the days went by. On the 8th September, during a ministry engagement where he had prepared to serve on a music team for a conference, he was told he wasn't going to serve minutes away from going on stage. He had to battle to stay in love or take offense. As the worship started, he saw Grace's face. He prayed over her while interceding for others with skin issues and knew the matter was sorted. Days went by, but no physical change took place. When the opportunity to buy medicine came, he didn’t hesitate. His faith was shaken a bit, but he encouraged himself in the truth that God is trustworthy. And he kept speaking life and health to Grace's skin every day. They used the tube about thrice. Nearly a month after, she returned home from her grandparents’ and he noticed her skin was clear and well. Glory to God.
