As we step into this year of Exceeding Peace and Perfection, it is good to remind ourselves about the incredible gift of righteousness. The Bible declares in Isaiah 54:14 that, “In righteousness you shall be established”. It’s not something we earn by effort, but a gift freely given to us through faith in Christ’s finished work, a foundation God graciously provides to steady and secure our lives. The Bible tells us that Abraham believed God, and it was counted to him for righteousness—showing us that righteousness is a result of entirely trusting in God’s promises, not our own strength.
Getting rooted in this infallible truth of righteousness bestowed gives us boldness to approach God, free from guilt and shame, with a peace that surpasses understanding. It establishes us in a place of security and authority, as we grow in the constant awareness of our inheritance in Christ. Psalms 42:7 declares, “Deep calls unto deep.” This speaks to the divine invitation to leave surface-level living behind and dive into a richer, more intimate relationship with God. Let us therefore silence distractions, listen intently to His voice, and draw from the well of His infinite wisdom.
Amid uncertainties, God extends promises of peace and perfection that bring stability and assurance. Righteousness, when embraced, produces a profound peace that is more than the absence of conflict—it is a fruitful calm that strengthens us for the journey of life. This peace overflows into every aspect of our lives, as God’s Word reminds us: “Do not be afraid, I am your shield, your exceedingly great reward” (Genesis 15:1).
This year, consciously reflect on what anchors your heart and mind. When you anchor yourself in God’s truth, you’ll discover a peace that calms the storms and a purpose that charts your course. Trust Him—the Captain of your salvation knows the way! As you read on, be inspired by the powerful and inspiring articles and testimonies. GREATER GLORY FROM THE PASTOR’S
“They go from strength to strength, every one of them in Zion appeareth before God.” (Psalm 84:17). Strength is God’s order for the Church. Whenever and wherever God dwells, His glory is revealed in strength and power.
God indwells the Church – individually and collectively. The world should look no further to find God than in the church that knows their God. The church that knows their God is strong, and does exploits (Daniel 11:32). Part of the reason people in the world are looking in the wrong places for strength and power is because the glory of God is lacking in the lives of many members of the Church.
When the kingdom of God comes into the life of an individual, a community or a city; it comes with the glory of God. That glory is what men are desperately in need of, and tirelessly searching for. It’s so strong and powerful in its ways and works that it makes the lives of men to rise and shine.
Speaking of church that knows their God, the Bible says, “Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee. For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the Lord shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee. And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising.” (Isaiah 60:1−3).
The glory of God is what transforms lives and families from being broken, sick, fearful and desperate to being whole, healthy, bold and strong. It is what turns around communities and cities from ruined, crime-stricken and poverty-ridden places to peaceful, beautiful and prosperous places. God has historically sorted out the troubles of individuals, communities and cities by the release of His glory upon them, and that’s the same way He is sorting them out today.
Talking of the chaos of cities and their inhabitants, the Bible says, “Woe to you who build cities with money gained from murdering and robbery! Has not the Lord decreed that godless nations’ gains will turn to ashes in their hands?” (Habakkuk 2:12−12, TLB). It then goes on to provide God’s solution to such chaos: “For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea.” (Habakkuk 2:14).
That’s where you and I come in as the Hopecell Network. We are the vessels that God is set to use to flood our cities with the knowledge of His glory. He will use our lives, marriages, homes, jobs, farms, factories, networks and ministries to display the strength and power of His glory. When He does so, our lives become a magnet – attracting men and women to the God whose light shines so brightly in our lives.
To bring about this reality however, we have to keep the Word first and foremost in our thoughts and actions: “…we Christians have no veil over our faces; we can be mirrors that brightly reflect the glory of the Lord. And as the Spirit of the Lord works within us, we become more and more like him.” (2 Corinthians 3:18). Yes, we are mirrors of the Word, reflecting more and more of the glory of Jesus.

During the March Mission Week, the Hopecell Network is visiting with individuals and families in our cities and communities with an expectation for their hearts and cultures to abound in the experience of what the scriptures describe in Matthew 4:16: “The people which sat in darkness saw great light; and to them which sat in the region and shadow of death light is sprung up.” Prayerfully consider who your neighbours are, and be available to them as a vessel of God’s light during the March Mission Week. We are chosen
Paul was chosen to know God’s will. We too have been chosen by God Himself. We are chosen to know His will and eternal purposes. The Bible assures us of this in Matthew 13:1: “He answered and said unto them, ‘because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.” We have a divine right to know His will.
Like the Apostle Paul, we are chosen to see the Just One. To behold Him each and every day, to be transformed to the image of His Son: “But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord” (2 Corinthians 3:18). We have been chosen by God to be con formed to the image of his Son.
We have been chosen by God to hear His voice. This is the sweet communion with the Holy Spirit on a daily basis. God loves talking to us. We have a divine right to hear His lovely voice for guidance, encouragement, upliftment, and more.
We are chosen to be his witnesses, as Ananias told Apostle Paul: “For thou shalt be his wit ness unto all men of what thou hast seen and heard” (Acts 22:15) Jesus, our blessed Lord, said the same very profound words to His disciples just before he departed. You are called to be witnesses and to bring forth fruit from what we have seen and heard (John 15:16a)
We are a chosen people, chosen by His grace, chosen by His loving initiative, and for a pur pose. We are chosen to come and stay close to Him as Moses told the sons of Korah in Numbers 16:5. I am glad I am chosen, and so are you.
