To our valued customers:
In the early hours of Tuesday, May 16th, Adams Bank & Trust detected unusual activity indicative of a cybersecurity threat.
This threat was taken extremely seriously. To protect our customers and their personal financial information, we made the swift decision to lock down our bank servers. This was done to allow our IT department the time they needed to address the issue.
The robust security measures and proactive response protocols Adams Bank & Trust has in place worked as designed. We also immediately engaged a team of highly skilled experts to complete a forensic analysis and conduct an investigation into this matter. There is no evidence customer information was accessed.
We are working diligently to bring our servers back online and restore all customer services. As soon as these systems are brought back online, we will provide an update on Facebook and through any other available notification systems.
We sincerely value your trust and confidence in our bank. We understand that our swift measures to protect your personal financial information did not come without significant inconvenience regarding access to your accounts and financial services. We are committed to minimizing disruptions for our customers because we understand the importance of timely and reliable access. We deeply regret any inconvenience you have experienced due to this incident, and we appreciate your patience and understanding while our teams are working to address this.
Please remember that your funds and personal information remain secure. This incident is a strong reminder to us all to continually remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the bank’s dedicated customer support team. All questions and inquiries should be directed to our representatives at 1-800-422-3488 or your local bank branch.
Thank you for the trust and confidence you have placed in Adams Bank & Trust.
Respectfully,
Todd S. Adams Chief Executive Officer
