Camp BroaderWay 2015 Playbill

Page 1

Dear Audience The girls of Camp BroaderWay have not just created a performance, but have also written this playbill to report about our camp experiences and personal growth. With the camp’s emphasis on collaboration and mutuality, and the encouragement of our overall staff, we have been able to overcome many obstacles we have encountered in our exercises and in our minds. We are taught, and practice, mindfulness in every aspect of our daily living at camp— throughout the Arts programs (music, art, dance, singing, sign language, acting, videography and photography), even during mealtime. We enjoyed the process and hope you enjoy our show!

The star will shine wh

within us hen we find it

Can we stop and think a moment Did you ever think about people’s Emotions Their hearts are breaking Their souls are aching They are broken apart from all the suffering their tears are shedding one by one two by two three by three and no one is listening to their screams and pain inside they’re screaming help me help me someone help me. And no one is there to help me I reach and reach, search and search until I dig through and see the light gazing and shining down on me. And I know there is someone who cares. Do you ever look inside yourself ? - Nyomi Canty

We dedicate this Playbill to the memory of Paul Gottfried, father of Heather Zuckerman, co-founder of A BroaderWay, who was such an integral part of A BroaderWay. He lovingly, generously and creatively printed our Playbills and other printed materials over the years. He was a very special man and will be sincerely missed.
