STUDIO CUBE MODEL
The concept of this studio cube surrounds freeflowing, repetitive forms to juxtapose the boxlike footprint and enclosure.
This project explores the adaptations of using complex joinery in a small scale living study. Using the words “raditing” and “tailored,” a 6’x6’ space was designed with room for work, play, and rest.
STUDIO CUBE MODEL
A collection of found objects was used as both buildings and carving tools as a method for disrupting the grid. In building the project, the idea of a chess game in progress and disrupted also became a driving force for concepting. The objects represent the chess pieces, each possessing a different rule set and function, while the cubic forms and overall grid represents the game board which provides structure to the entirety of the game.

The concept for this project focuses on the tension between a rigid grid and a dispersion of objects. The grid is meant to give a sense of structure, and order to the city plan whereas the objects give introduction to spontaneity within the orderedsystem.

The library houses spray cans, art supplies, and prints in addition to the books. The design consists of large flat walls, and type or lettering as a patterned joint. A linear organization with varied heights in elevation was established in an effort to mimic city skylines and alleyways.
