harat Pindoria is a household name in the Kutchi community, having established the largest Kutchi law firm in the world. Born in East London to Jethalal Harji Pindoria, a carpenter by profession and Amratben Pindoria, Bharat is a self-confident, ambitious person. Growing up in Woolwich, South East London, he developed a deep attachment to the Gujarati community, becoming more and more aware of his roots. Both his parents originate from the Madhapar (nava-vas) gaam in Kutch just next to the district capital Bhuj. As a bright but unassuming child, he was the first one to go to University in the family, and completed his LLM with flying colours, from the prestigious London School of Economics. He then went to become the first Kutchi practising barrister in the UK after being Called to the Bar by Lincoln's Inn in 1993. Despite completing pupilage at the Chancery Bar, he took up a lucrative position in the area of Capital Market at Freshfields, a magic circle law firm, and then in a couple of years moved to Wilde Sapte, one of the largest banking law firms in the country. Deeply associated with the community and influenced by the late Councillor Kantaben Patel's social work for the Gujarati community in Greenwich in 1990s, he worked as an Advice officer at the Greenwich Gujarati Samaj. He was introduced to CB Patel, Publisher/Editor of the Asian Voice and Gujarat Samachar in 1993 by Kantaben. A family man, with outstanding business accomplishments, val-

ues and ethos, this prosperous solicitor believes greatly in giving back to the community, subscribing to the worthy concept of sewa and therefore acts for most of the Swaminarayan temples in the UK. Earlier this year, he raised over £5000 for St Lukes Hospice Kenton by skydiving from over 13000 ft. Bharat went on to establish Pindoria Solicitors from his home in 2004. Speaking about starting his own firm, he went on to say, “I am very proud of my Kutchi and Gujarati roots and background. Hence I chose the name of Pindoria Solicitors over an English name.” Pindoria Solicitors, now celebrating its 10th year, strive to offer outstanding legal advice providing creative legal solutions for clients’ for their business or personal affairs. Based in Stanmore, North West London the firm has a team of high quality dedicated lawyers with expertise, to name some, in conveyancing, wills, probate, family matters and civil litigation with clients all around the world including international banks and foreign Governments. “Pindoria Solicitors would not
have been able to expand and continue to grow vertically without the Gujarati communities continuous support. We have established an excellent reputation for trust and quality legal services in our community. We want to continue to provide this service to our clients without compromising on the quality, ethics and professionalism that are core to our firms values,” he added. Bharat intends to push Pindoria Solicitors to higher and greater things. They are moving ahead of other Asian law firms with a highly focused branding campaign. Their radio and TV adverts on the Asian media have quickly given them instant brand recognition in the Asian community. Though a strong supporter of hard work with a can do attitude, he does not owe every bit of his prosperity to just skills and business acumen. He thinks a lot of his success has been possible because of his Swaminarayan Hindu faith and family. Speaking about which, Bharat added with a smile, “My wife, Dipa, fortunately keeps a tight rein on everything. And now my two children the future generations of our community, Kushil and Jia, also like to provide their opinion over the breakfast table. That helps me to see things in a different light and from a completely new perspective.” Contact: 1st Floor, 502-504 Honeypot Lane, Stanmore, Middlesex, HA7 1JR, Tel: 0208 951 6959, Fax: 020 8951 6951 W: www.pindorialaw.com E: info@pindorialaw.com
