It has come as a shock to the British Sikh Community after UK Foreign Secretary William Hague has confirmed in the Parliament on Tuesday, 4th February 2014, that an official investigation has shown that Britain did advise India on planning the controversial Operation Blue Star against Sikh separatists at the Golden Temple in Amritsar (also known as Sri Harmandir Sahib) in June 1984.
