A MODEL’s

Makeup Musings Models are the framework of the fashion and beauty industry. They are the chiselled bone structured, highcheeked and rosy-lipped muses of many a beauty brand who bring life to a dream envisioned by said designers and artists. Regardless of their high profile beauty, these models of the moment still live ordinary lives, and just like us, they too have lazy days. This month we get a few model's take on makeup used by some of the highest paid models in the world.

GISELE BÜNDCHEN

Being the highest paid model in the world, Gisele takes her off-work days very seriously. "On some days, I love to spend time and effort on doing my own makeup." she said, in a behind-the-scenes interview.

JOURDAN DUNN

The first African model to be listed on Forbes' highest-paid models in the world, Jourdan focuses on her brows and skin the most. She is one of the many models who invest in the best skincare regime available.

SKIN PREP

MODEL’S MUST-HAVES

Always carry makeup remover wipes to easily remove your makeup or freshen up your skin anytime, anywhere. Keep a lip balm handy to avoid drying out your lips. Your favourite concealer is a great item of makeup to keep close in order to retouch and hide any little blemishes that may pop up unexpectedly during the day.

• To avoid any possible breakouts, stay away from oil-based cleansers. Opt for purifying ones to protect your skin from any acne. • Use a thick moisturiser to help your skin maintain the hydration needed despite the heavy makeup that is often applied to your face. • On a busy day, sunscreen is going to be your best friend. Never leave the house without protecting your skin from the sun. The higher the SPF, the better. Your skin will thank you later.

KATE MOSS

Jumping from shoot to shoot, Kate maintains a minimal yet fresh approach to makeup. Her makeup must-have? Mascara. Almost every no-makeup look of Kate Moss' has one thing in common - defined yet natural long lashes.

"For a natural look, the idea is to not cover all the blemishes or dark circles—at least not excessively. It’s natural to have a few marks on your skin." -British model, CHARLI HOWARD
