On August 16, 2013, we celebrated the long awaited Groundbreaking Ceremony for the new AbilityFirst Joan and Harry A. Mier Center. Since the 1970s, our programs in Inglewood had been spread among three 80-year-old buildings on one site at 8090 Crenshaw Boulevard. The new modern, fully-accessible 6,500-square-foot building will transform the delivery of services for more children and adults with physical and developmental disabilities. We offer our
deepest gratitude and admiration to all the generous volunteers and donors who contributed to the AbilityFirst Capital Campaign for the Joan and Harry A. Mier Center.
