Objectives:
Solicit reunions and tours during times business is needed. Enrich the visitor experience. Increase promotional item and retail sales by 10%. Conduct quarterly hospitality training targeting frontline hospitality employees and volunteers. Provide hospitality to tour operators, reunions and visitors.
Strategies:
The ACVB will participate in the following trade shows: v Texas Travel Counselors Conference v American Bus Association
Co-op travel shows with Texas Forts Trail and Team Texas. Arrange “Bellman on Call” service for overnight tour operators. Distribute brochures at local and statewide visitor centers. Create engaging itineraries for group tours. Host and conduct an engaging ABA post-familiarization tour from Grapevine to Abilene. Refresh wedding and reunion content on Pinterest and website. Implement a mural tour for photo opportunities. Convert the Windshield History CD into a MP3 format. Conduct university orientation promoting Abilene’s events, activities, Round-Up Attraction Pass for better student engagement. Distribute Destination: ABI boxes to stranded air travelers. Grow visitor attendance to attractions through promoting the Round Up Attraction Pass. Research a feasibility of a digital Round Up Attraction Pass. Research feasibility in an Arts and Crafts pass or itinerary. Research e-commerce potential to sell Abilene swag.
