Position: Residential Monitor Organization Summary: Abigayle Ministries is a Christian non-profit interdenominational organization providing shelter and support to homeless pregnant women and their babies. Our comprehensive program provides homeless pregnant women with a spiritual foundation in Christ and tools to become financially and emotionally independent to care for themselves and their newborn babies. Position Summary: Residential Monitor’s position will stay on site at facility during shift to primarily provide evening, overnight, and/or weekend assistance, supervision, mentoring, and transportation for residents while staff is not present in accordance with ministry policy and expectations while enforcing the rules and regulations of the program. Weekly Schedule: May vary according to opportunities made available by ministry. Monitors onsite during overnight hours are provided with private sleeping quarters. Shifts may include any combination of the following (open to changes): Weeknight shift (one night a week) - 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Weekend shift - Friday, 4:00 p.m. through Sunday, 8:00 p.m. (not paid for sleep hours) Occasional holiday coverage, vacation relief, and other misc. relief needs required Primary Responsibilities Provide oversight in facility, ensuring client accountability to program requirements and providing disciplinary action as needed and defined in ministry policy. Private quarters for sleeping provided.
Perform all applicable duties in a manner that reflects positively on Abigayle Ministries and in accord with its vision, mission, policy and procedures.
Provide interaction and spiritual care to residential clients, joining clients during dinner hours and participating in house activities (computer assistance, activities, games, movies, conversation) between the hours of 5 p.m. and 9 p.m. weekdays and 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. weekends to promote a positive atmosphere and one that encourages residential clients to grow in maturity in Christ. Maintain thorough and accurate records of activities, daily events and compliance issues as it relates to each client. Complete necessary documentation in a timely, accurate, complete and legible manner which may include but is not limited to monitor reports, incident reports and other forms used or as directed. Supervise completion of chores, providing guidance to the client to ensure the task is correctly performed. Ensure that maintenance and household supplies needed are reported to staff according to ministry policy.
Provide transportation for clients to and from approved appointments, employment establishments, and other locations as directed.
Perform weekly shopping duties to acquire food and supplies for the house according to staff direction.
