RIME Minister Nawaz Sharif on Wednesday said that the Kashmir issue is the main pillar of Pakistan’s foreign policy and Pakistani envoys abroad must highlight sufferings of the people of the occupied territory. Speaking at the concluding session of the three-day conference of Pakistani envoys in Islamabad, the prime minister said that the desire of freedom is runs in the blood of Kashmiris. He urged the envoys to convey a message to the world that the Kashmir issue is not the internal matter of India. Adviser to Prime Minister on foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz, meanwhile said that an ‘objective assessment’ of Pakistan’s foreign relations since the Pakistan Muslim league-Nawaz (PMl-N) government came to power “does not support the view promoted in some sections of the media that Pakistan is being isolated and its foreign policy lacks direction”. The prime minister, during his address, also emphasised the need for addressing the challenges facing the country before they mutate further. He said there are issues on which Pakistan has concerns and it expects other countries to take care of them.
