The internal circulation of the site is designed to create an pedestrian-scale urban grid through a hierarchy that clearly designates separate priority routes for vehicles and pedestrians.
The main avenue and a network of collector streets serve as the primary circulation for vehicles. A series of one way feeder streets and drop-off lanes provide vehicular access to each building in the developent.
In parallel, a network of pedestrian and limited access streets define the block structure and establish zones where walking and biking are prioritized. These streets should be engineered so that they may be open to traffic as needed, but the landscape and design should reflect their primary purpose as pedestrian streets.
