Abigail Munks Journalism Walsvick 21 May 2021 Reflection #2
In our 2020-21 yearbook, my most significant piece was the fashion spread. I interviewed two people, CJ Goodrich and Abcedy Carson. I included photos of each showing their style and added an interview article for both. In the articles I talked about their style and inspiration in detail. You can see my spread on page 24. I am most proud of this spread as well. I have received multiple compliments on it. CJ was my most difficult interview. He was spacey with responding and did not follow through on a lot. Despite all of this, he was my favorite section. At aaec he was known as an icon. His style made him stand out with his bubbly sassy personality. CJ told me about how when he started dressing the way he does now, he found confidence within. He told us how his unique fashion helps him cope with our harsh world and boost his imagination. His ultimate style icon is not a normal one for the everyday person. But to him, she made the biggest impact. His style icon was Twiggy, a model. She helped inspire him and helped evolve his clothing into what it is now. Thank you Twiggy! He ended by telling us to be ourselves and not to try to please other people. We need to express ourselves how we want to, not how someone else perceives us.
