As usual, I was mesmerized... yet again, with the simplicity, beauty, & quietness of the rural Rajasthan. Even in the scorching heat of 108 degrees, we kept wandering around, with assurance that today again, we will find a new friend. And, we were right! I heard a few giggles & chuckles & I decided to go past the mud walls. As I approached closer, Radha & Kamala started giggling harder, with their faces covered behind the colorful sheer fabrics. After talking with them for few minutes, Radha said, “They were amused to see me in my Denim Shorts & wondered what had happened to my full Sari clothes?”... We laughed & giggled together & I had made new friends! Everything around me was colorful, joyful & peaceful. Radha & Kamala shared their stories & work of “Kantha” that they do with passion to support their kids & family.
