LANGUAGE STUDIES ABROAD

ENGLISH AS SECOND LANGUAGE (ESL) ESL is a comprehensive English As A Second Language (ESL) program available in 3 levels: 1. Junior English (Beginning) 2. English Language Proficiency (Intermediate) 3. Intensive English (Advanced) You will learn English by: 1.Seeing: learning vocabulary with the help of hundreds of visual aids for association. 2.Listening: learning to read and speak English in 100 lessons presented by a master teacher. 3.Phonics: learning to pronounce words phonetically. 4.Reading: learning to read English and increase comprehension in context. 5.Practicing: reviewing for mastery. The purpose of ESL is to give each learner all the important tools needed to read and speak the English language. Stories will also be taught, giving each learner additional opportunity to hear and learn the English language while learning English vocabulary. With this solid foundation, the learner can use English in any situation.

OUR COURSES On the first day of class, the student will take an evaluation test to evaluate the student’s English proficiency level. Mini-tests will take place weekly in order to account for what has already been learned. A more essential appraisal will take place every 3 weeks in order to evaluate the progress the student has made. All teaching staff are determined to do their best to make each lesson motivating, fun and personalized. At the end of their stay, students will receive a certificate attesting to the level they have finished.

JUNIOR ENGLISH (BEGINNING) is recommended for learners of any age who desire introductory and basic lessons in English vocabulary, pronunciation, and reading and listening comprehension. The teacher begins with individual English sounds, common words, and simple stories that build throughout the course. Extended vocabulary and listening skills (through storytelling) are added as the learner progresses. In Junior English, students develop core skills in reading, writing, speaking, and listening through features such as: •

Phonics-based reading methodology incorporated into lessons and activities to help learners improve their pronunciation

Immersion-based methodology that replicates the strengths of a real-world learning environment and activate the brain's natural ability to learn language

Carefully sequenced content to introduce new vocabulary and grammar by building upon previous content

Immediate feedback on every response to help reinforce key foundational concepts and correct learning

ENGLISH LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY (INTERMEDIATE)

MODULE 1

is recommended for those with some knowledge of English. The course is intended to help the learner improve his English pronunciation and accent. There is increased emphasis on vocabulary development and reading and listening comprehension. English grammar studies are added for learners who desire to know how the language works. Students quickly build proficiency in a new language platform. The immersion learning experience provides a carefully structured series of activities and lessons that help students start thinking and communicating in the target language—without repetitive grammar drills, useless memorization, or translation exercises. Classes are multi-skill based with reading, writing, speaking, listening, vocabulary, grammar and pronunciation.

This course includes Educational Tours to the following:
