Open air theatre productions promise a summer of drama
Put your trust in the great British weather and book your seats in advance for some of the brilliant open air theatre productions that will be taking place locally this summer!
The fantastic Roman Open Air Theatre at St Albans has just launched its new season, with a series of plays running from early June through to September. Many are produced by the in-house Ovo Theatre Company with some touring productions offering further spice. Among this year’s productions are Much Ado About Nothing, Romeo and Juliet, Little Women, Private Lives, The Railway Children and The Threepenny Opera. The Lord Chamberlain’s Men, an all-male group who are the modern incarnation of Shakespeare’s original company of the same name, will be visiting The Spotlight Gardens in Hoddesdon on Friday 2nd June at 7pm to present Romeo and Juliet in an event organised by BArts (see next story).
