Living Crafts At Hatfield Park

Book your tickets now for the Living Crafts event at Hatfield Park, which will take place over the Coronation weekend, from Friday 5th to Monday 8th May.

This festival of contemporary crafts showcases the best of British craftsmanship and this year includes a Crafts for the Coronation display in the Showcase Pavilion, plus music from brass and jazz bands and food and drink stands.

The event features small creative businesses and individual artisans and visitors can see much of their creativity in action, with demonstrations from jewellery-making to long bow-making and workshops including enamelling, stone carving and clay sculpture. The event runs from 11am to 5pm and tickets, which are cheaper in advance, include admission to Hatfield Park and Gardens. Advance prices are £10 adults, £9 seniors, £6 children. livingcrafts.co.uk

Museum Stores Tours

Visitors can go behind the scenes with Hertford Museum’s curatorial team at the Seed Warehouse in The Wash, visit the museum’s stores, discover how its collections are cared for and enjoy tea and cake on Saturday 22nd April. Sawbo May Fayre

Sawbridgeworth’s annual May Fayre takes place on Sunday 30th April this year, from 12noon to 4pm on Fair Green. Attractions include live music from Bishop’s Stortford Ukelele Society, Jess Anson, Lewis Hanham, Grace O’Donoghue, Chris Talbot, Youth Create and Andy Knoxplus arts and crafts stalls, a fun fair, car show, food and drink stands and donkey rides.

Broxbourne May Market

Broxbourne United Reformed Church holds its annual May Market on Monday 1st May from 10.30am to 1.30pm at the church in Mill Lane, Broxbourne. Items on sale will include plants, refreshments, home baking, china and glass, gifts and jewellery. There will also be a vintage stall, a £1 stall, crafts stalls and freshly cooked lunches. Admission is free.
