Henry Moore Studios & Gardens

Henry Moore Studios & Gardens at Perry Green near Much Hadham open for the new season on Wednesday 5th April, with a new outdoor exhibition, called Vitality: The Human Landscapes of Henry Moore.

For Moore, one of the world’s greatest and most influential sculptors, nature and the human body were sources of vitality, expressions of life force which he could harness in his work, uniting and concentrating their vital energy.

This season, more than 20 monumental bronzes inspired by natural and human forms are displayed in the landscape surrounding the studios where Moore developed his ideas. Multi-part reclining figures are joined by some of his purest organic abstractions and works exploring his most iconic themes: the mother and child, the reclining figure and the juxtaposition of internal and external forms. Also this year, in response to the current financial climate, Henry Moore Studios & Gardens has introduced a new annual ticket that means visitors pay for a single visit and can then return as many times as they like, enjoying free entry to the 70 acres of studios

You can buy a season ticket to Knebworth for just £50 which provides free entry to the park, gardens, adventure trail and dinosaur trail on all open days as well as free access to many great events, including medieval jousting on Father’s Day, PAW Patrol character appearance, Hertfordshire Garden Show, Classic Motor Show, Easter Trail and DogFest. There are also oth- er benefits including discounts in the tea room and gift shop. This month, an Easter Trail will be run over the Easter bank holiday weekend with a prize at the end, while the Hertfordshire Garden Show takes place at the end of the month, from Saturday 29th April to Monday 1st May. There will be a wide variety of goods on display and for sale at the show including garden furniture, water features, hot tubs, tools and sculptures.
