Nucleos of Relational Studies
The project aims to revitalize an abandoned quarry in Balneario Camboriu, Brazil. This site is a key part of the central ecological heritage, encompassing a significant natural preservation area. The project location offers panoramic views of two renowned beaches and numerous tourist attractions. Its direct connection to nature presents an excellent opportunity to emphasize the socio-cultural and educational relationship with the environment. The concept of the Núcleo centers on the relationship between society and nature, considering several factors, such as:
• Incorporating clean architecture that harmonizes with the natural environment, ensuring minimal impact on the landscape.
• Creating a park that integrates with the surroundings and leverages natural features, offering lookout points, eco-walking trails, rock climbing, and more.
• Establishing an auditorium for classes and lectures on environmental education, culture, and ecology.
• Providing coworking spaces, restaurants, and a hotel to support various activities and enhance visitor experience.

Ecotone: What is it?
An ecotone is a way of classifying territories based on the relationship between society and nature. It can be understood as the smallest unit of this relationship, capable of self-sustaining and preserving its organization. The concept differs from that of an ecosystem, as it specifically considers human action.
As a system, we can define an ecotone as "a set of relations capable of maintaining the organizational emergence of the complex culture/nature unit, which, at the same time, has the capacity to reorganize and reproduce itself in such a way that it ensures its energetic and informational sustainability along the space-time axis."
By recognizing the systemic nature of life, in which everything is interconnected, this perspective has led to the creation of a Center for the Study of Relational Systems.

“In our increasingly urbanizing world, where 68% of people (6.7 billion) will live in urban areas by the year 2050 (United Nations, 2019), it is unrealistic to require large numbers of people to move away from cities to maintain their health. Instead, pathways toward healthy living must involve making cities healthy places to live for all residents” (Dye, 2008), and greenspaces can be one piece of that puzzle” (Mattew H.E.M. Browing, Alessandro Rigolon, Olivia McAnirlin, Hyunseo Yoon, 2017).
The project is located in Manhattan, NYC, within a building designed by Perkins&Will. Surrounded by the concrete jungle, limited green spaces, and traffic noise, the project aims to incorporate elements into the interior that promote well-being, contributing to a better quality of life for those living in an urban setting. The design achieves this by creating an experience that enhances mood through biophilic design. Additionally, the space includes features and activities that encourage relaxation, such as yoga, a meditation center, and a spa.
DESIGN CONCEPT
The conceptual images draw inspiration from the serene and rejuvenating atmosphere of Bali’s lush jungles, home to some of the world's most renowned wellness retreats. The vision is to create a space that fosters relaxation and a deep connection with nature through biophilic design principles.
Biophilic design enhances human well-being by integrating natural elements into the built environment. This approach incorporates features such as abundant natural light, lush vegetation, good air circulation, organic textures, and nature-inspired materials, all of which contribute to a soothing and revitalizing atmosphere.
The wellness center is designed as a sanctuary where guests can immerse themselves in a harmonious environment, experiencing relaxation through direct interaction with natural elements and thoughtfully curated activities
The interior design project involved developing the layout, millwork, furniture selection, and finishes for a decorated condo in a modern building. The space was designed with an open layout, featuring a sleek black-painted millwork panel that serves as both a TV backdrop and a divider for the closet. A high-gloss lacquer panel near the bed adds a refined touch, while neutral tones throughout the design create a calming and comfortable atmosphere. Wood flooring further enhances warmth and sophistication in the space.
