In honor of the famous performer Pearl Primus, a self taught dancer from U st., the museum acts as a theater, dance school, and art gallery all in one. This all inclusive space gives locals the opportunity to learn new moves while also taking a step back in the past.

The obejective of the ssignment was to design a spa in Georgetown, D.C. I designed Secret Garden Spa to provide privacy and wonder in the city. The intentional use of flower, water, wood, and stone materials were important in capture the garden like esscence. Additionally, the utilization of romatic and Georgian styles allow the building to complement the existing structures surrounding it.

Students to implement the lessons learned from studying thresholds to design a waterfront plaza, which functions as a moment of pause for introspection and connection. Inspired by the Open Space Sequence in Oregon, Hive Plaza responds to this prompt by provding space for people to connect and immerse themselves in nature amidst a city environment.
I referenced Andrea Palladio and Max Taut’s expressionism in the design process. I wanted to give locals a sense of nature within a city. People can buy flowers as they walk by on the street and enter the market area to purchase teas, plants, food, and other plant-based products from vendors.
A precedent study on Casa de Vidro designed by Lina Bo Bardi in 1951. Casa de Vidro is a home located in the rainforests of São Paulo, Brazil. The architecture ties itself into its surrounding environment and integrates nature into the design. Through digital modeling and rendering, this precedent allowed students to develop an understanding of conceptual approaches to design.
I design tattoos for myself and people who ask. My style is a mix of mathematical, delicate, and organic. It has become more than a fun pastime, as I can draw every detail with full intention and understanding that it will be permanent. In this design process, I create multiple iterations. Then I scan and send it to my tattoo artist so she can stab it into my skin.

I enjoy exploring textures and color theory. Recently orange has been a popular color on my pallete. It is a good representation of how I’ve been feeling throughout the past year.
