INTRODUCTION Beyond the spheres of public opinions, personal fame, good looks, and charisma, Duduzane Zuma is a young man who stands firmly for the hopes of the past, present and future generations of South Africa. He firmly believes in achieving pragmatic change in our society while holding the view that change starts with us through a renewal of our mind.

As most people know, Duduzane Zuma is the son of former President Jacob Zuma. Through his strong cultural and family inheritance, he was born into politics and he had stepped on international territories before he could even crawl. He is a man determined to make changes where necessary through his visions and mentality. Though it is a well-known fact that he holds strong connections in the political field, it is very rare to find other politicians sharing his original views on how to change South Africa. The world often misjudges his views and opinions as views belonging to those who are closely linked to him but a deeper analysis of his view tends to reveal a unique leader in Duduzane Zuma.

If he was given a stand to realize his visions, he will surely make a great history for South Africa. His diverse interests in technology and uranium mining with major players in South Africa and at global level, have broadened his horizons to manufacturing and environmental interests. As his past track record has shown multiple times, he is a creator of opportunities, not just for himself, but also for South Africa.

HIS VIEWS ON BUSINESS, TECHNOLOGY AND SOUTH AFRICA’ GLOBAL POSITION The business history of Duduzane Zuma consists in a mixture of diverse investments ranging from mining, technology, media and manufacturing designed to industrialize South Africa. His strategic business style focuses on the production that positively impacts growth. When it comes to reforming the government, Duduzane Zuma strongly believes that his wealth of business experience can assist him in corporatizing the government through technology. His three favorite business fields are the mining sector, the media space, the financial services and banking insurance services since they are heavy contributors towards the national GDP. Within a resource-based context and for the year 2024, I would advise entrepreneurs to invest themselves into the resources sectors that stand as the best GDP contributors such as mining. The second-best sector to embrace is the agricultural one and the third would be tourism. These are our biggest contributors to our GDP, and our society needs to gear themselves to take advantage of those sectors. We need to factor this information

into our educational levels, not just at tertiary levels but also at primary levels. This information needs to be conveyed as early as possible so that these opportunities are fully acknowledged to our advantage. Let us look within the box and get into what is relevant, let us look within the box.

When it comes to South Africa’s global trade position, he clearly notes that the country has lost its net exporting status over the recent years.

His observations lead him to emphasize on the fact that South Africa’s trade position has fallen below the waist in favor of a net importer position. Such a position indicates that South Africa has traded away its ‘heavyweight producer status’ in exchange for a ‘consumer status.’ The loss of South Africa’s net export status also indicates job losses and lowered production.

In response to such a challenge, Duduzane Zuma proposes that the nation increase its production rate through concrete development policies, stirring the agricultural, mining, and technological sectors.

Based on his own experience in business, it is possible to implement private sector methods to drive such a change by using technology.

In Duduzane Zuma’s frame view, technology remains one of the key tools that will revolutionize the work methods of the Nation. “Since the technological landscape has changed, we can make use of available software’s and hardware. to ease up our lives”, said Duduzane Zuma.

He further explains that technology will reduce human intervention and thus limit corruption. Within this context, he strongly believes that tender processes should be managed through block chain, smart contracts and assessed by software that will be able to make neutral decisions on tender winners. If the pool of resources is thrown in the wrong direction, then we are not curating these opportunities. We should adopt an approach that accelerates the speed of both policy implementation in view to get a quick turnaround time. We should clearly manage the process of fund distribution while ensuring that those funds are used for their right purpose.

He speaks vividly on behalf of the youth by stating that young business people have the space to reinvent and recreate themselves. From his personal experience, he has seen his fortunes being exiled into the big bad world and consequently, he has learned to transact in a broader world called United Emirates where he spent the major part of his career. For him, reinvention occurred on the outside.

In spite of being part of the G20, the African Union, the United Nations and BRICS, South Africa sits as a follower rather than a trend setter. In view to regain the trendsetter status, South Africa has to delve within technological aspects that can influence management, he has learned international best practice by transacting in the international economy in places such as the UAE, India, the U.K, China, South Korea, Taiwan, the DRC, Mozambique and countless other African countries. Business interests, agriculture, tech security and that’s the direction in which Duduzane Zuma is plugging his mind into.

In his view, we also ought to focus efforts on growing our farming in an era of drought environmentalism which affects our diet as a nation. We should be a generation dictating our world’s trajectory and businesses should have practical influence on our lifestyle. This calls for a lifestyle of action but unfortunately, South Africa has become a talk shop.

“I am for a financial system that is inclusive to all,” says Duduzane Zuma with a convincing attitude. He further continues by saying: “technology has obviously taken over most of the cornerstones of the world and many people in South Africa are turning a blind eye to this new reality.”

In spite of his court cases and personal trials, he is fully confident that he will come up victorious and that people will recognize that all accusations pointed at him are false. This kind of vision for a new South Africa requires a ‘generational reshuffle’ in government. There are a lot of people who wish to make solid changes into the country but we, as a nation, are failing to absorb them from outside the government. We should allow everyone to play a part through genuine cooperation. None of this is achievable without tackling crime by overhauling the criminal justice system and the entire law enforcement department police and intelligent military etc., “I believe that we, as the new generation, are ready to lead. We are even more ready than our predecessors in 1994. The 1994 leadership generation had barely any governmental or business experience. On average, they were mostly 40 years of age and they ran the country. ``, says Duduza Zuma.

Since he has relevant experience in the private sector, he considers it as a valuable advantage which he will imprint within the public sector.

In spite of the problems linked to his past, he firmly believes that the past will not represent an obstacle but a positive step towards his journey. In spite of the relentless criticism pointed at him, he always decides to step up and to live life.

On one hand, he is fully aware that a life in the limelight will always be subject to criticism and on the other hand, he has met numerous people who offered their support and positivity for whom he has www.businessbeyondstyle.co.za

IMPORTANCE OF YOUTH The African youth is a vibrant population representing the majority of the youth in the world and therefore, we have a story to tell and a role to play.

He calls for the youth of the nation to make changes instead of focusing on plain talks allowing for only political teams to do the change work. As South African youth, we need to take accountability and responsibility for the fact that we are the ones electing the people sitting in political offices. We, the youth, dictate political elections.

“The leaders of today and who we elect in positions of power reflect our society, therefore, we need to do some introspection and reflection.

We need to take a look at their progress while they are in offices and we also need to look into the existing opportunities available for us, we need to place ourselves in positions where we can drive the great South African project.” We need a project that is going to outlive us and a continuity mindset that focuses on long term objectives. As South Africans, we usually plan over a three to five-year period and this planning method has to change. We only think as far as the next election and that kind of planning will not be effective because the great South African project is not just about us but also about our children and grandchildren and this can only happen if we see this change project as a seed we plant for the Nation.

It will take for all of us to be on the same page, especially when considering that we all want to live in a prosperous and peaceful society. In spite of the different ideological positions we may hold, we need to acknowledge and understand that there is only one mission.

Therefore, it remains relevant to instill a ‘doer’ mentality into our people rather than a ‘talker’ mentality. Everyone can talk and pinpoint the faults but nobody comes with a concrete action. We want to instill a mentality of doers.

“As a youth, we need to push boundaries”, says Duduzane Zuma, the man of the hour. He equates the new attitude to a superhero mentality and he adds: “Nobody” is coming to rescue us, we have to take charge of our life.”

ON HIS UNNOTICED WORK FOR THE SOCIETY In recent times, Duduzane Zuma’s business were responsible for some of the most interesting transactions in the country with much focus on the high volume low margin approach keeping those who cannot afford in mind. In order to deal with the social skills development, we need to position South Africa in a capitalism way of functioning, in this regards we can gain a respectable growth rate and which in turn will generate an income. This income generated will create more opportunities and take care of poverty. Lets not create a welfare state but rather create a state whereby South Africans have a fair and realistic opportunity to earn their keep. South Africa is a capitalist country and we ought to choose our language from Socialism and Capitalism. On the social side, most of his work has been undocumented. Whether people like his social work or not, in time, the world will understand and realize that he is not the enemy of the establishment but part of the establishment.

He is currently involved in a soccer venture aimed at connecting communities through three-aside tournament teams. Duduzane Zuma is calling all aspiring three-a-side football teams to look out for his new nationwide tournament. The tournament is called Triple 3 Soccer and will create a platform for interaction with different communities, thus bringing people from the outside and giving them an opportunity to showcase themselves. In an honest fashion, he calls himself a profiteer and a doctoring capital.

He understands that people place him in an ideological box linked to the people he grew up with and to the people that are close to him.

However, he views himself as an independent person holding his own views.

ENVIRONMENTAL PERSPECTIVE He is a man passionate about environmental issues and he often goes off road into bushes to get a real view of what’s happening on the ground.

Those journeys have helped him obtain a different view than most of us are used to seeing in the city suburbs. Though there are still serious environmental issues to resolve, he understands that the pollution occurring in the Umhlanga and Umgeni rivers come from an upstream source. The plastic waste floating on those rivers come from an upstream source.

Though there are informal settlements and housing issues along those rivers, we have to resolve those major issues from upstream.

Such environmental issues negatively affect tourism in Durban and in the rest of the country. This situation is also visible in the Johannesburg CBD and we have no business building and maintaining new infrastructures such as rails, ports or water management services. In order to solve those issues, South Africa needs to fix the simple things first instead of talking about the big issues.

When making decisions as the government or present leaders, it is crucial to ensure that the chosen course of action positively impacts the citizens and safeguards them from any negative repercussions resulting from those decisions. It is fundamentally about assuming responsibility and prioritizing the well-being of the people in our country.

The immigration rate is remarkably high, and South Africa stands out as an unparalleled destination.

We must capitalize on this aspect, recognizing the incredible opportunities it presents. As South Africans, it’s essential for us to roll up our sleeves, put on our gloves, and actively engage. The opportunities lie on the ground, but without proactive involvement and a willingness to put in the effort, growth will remain elusive.

His message to the world is in simple words”

THE DISCONNECT BETWEEN PRIVATE AND HOW THE TWO SHOULD BE CLOSELY INTERTWINED Duduzane Zuma discussed how the private and public could work together. He notes that there is a discourse in the country when comparing the progress made by the private sector against how the governmental sector fared. It is interesting how those two sectors bash each other while they should be working together. One of the ways of connecting the private and the public sector consists in creating a landscape allowing for the private to flourish through job creations, a middle-class growth contributing towards tax revenue. When such a landscape is created, the people of South Africa will have something to lose and criminality issues will be a small fork in a giant plate because people will have less interest in being involved in crimes. If the people have something to lose, they will not go out there and take chances by stealing from others.

The disconnect between the private and the public sector has existed for a long time and it represents a big disservice to the Nation. This is why he is a big advocate for corporatizing the government.

Duduzane calls on the people who had successful careers in the private sector to join the public sector in order to show public servants how things are done. There are great minds in our government no doubt but its not enough.

Business skills are a pre-requirement to corporatizing the government and the country. We need the best of all the best minds.

Only a business leader would understand the effect of shutting doors due to COVID-19 and this event had a ripple effect on the country, turning the lights off is an unfair advantage to all business owners.

My recent sojourn to this haven of nature’s grandeur was nothing short of enchanting, as I immersed myself in the lap of luxury at the Madwaleni River Lodge, a 5-star tented camp that redefines opulence against the backdrop of the Big 5.

From the moment I set foot in this secluded paradise, the air was charged with anticipation, and the thrill of experiencing the untamed wilderness up close and personal. The Madwaleni River Lodge, with its sprawling tents, seamlessly blended into the natural landscape, offering a harmonious coexistence with the surrounding flora and fauna.

Our knowledgeable guide, a font of information on the local flora and fauna, led us on a journey of discovery. The reserve,

home to the illustrious Big 5 – lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard, and rhinoceros – unfolded its secrets with each passing moment.

The open-air safari vehicle provided unobstructed views, ensuring that every guest was immersed in the theatre of the wild.

As the golden sun bathed the savannah in warm hues, we witnessed two resident lionesses lounging in the shade, their majestic presence a testament to the raw power that defines the African wilderness.

Elephants, with their gentle yet imposing demeanour, meandered across our path, creating a sense of awe that reverberated through the vehicle. The Big 5 encounters were not merely sightings; they were immersive experiences that etched indelible memories.

As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting a warm glow over the landscape, the Madwaleni River Lodge unveiled another

It was a pause in time, a chance to reflect on the day’s adventures and to marvel at the beauty that surrounded me.

My two nights at the Madwaleni River Lodge within the Babanango Game Reserve were not just a stay; they were a journey into the heart of untamed Africa, seamlessly blended with the epitome of luxury. The harmonious coexistence of opulent accommodations,

THE STORY However, KZN Province is also the home to the largest community of Indians outside India whose own fascinating history, culture and heritage has had an enormous impact on KwaZulu Natal.

When we consider the epic stories of King Cetshwayo’s victory over the British at Isandlwana, the largest defeat in their Colonial history, his trip by ship to meet the Queen in London, the other Zulu battles, the current Zulu royal family, the unique dance, music, customs and traditions of the Zulu nation, the influences of the British, Dutch and other countries who attempted to colonialise South Africa via KwaZulu Natal, Mahatma Gandhi, the huge Indian community that lives, works, prays and plays in the Province, the Rorke’s Drift School, Ardmore ceramics, Zulu baskets and pottery, and numerous other facts, we are provided with an enormous amount of content to fill a large museum to narrate this incredible story to show what makes our Province so unique, different and special.

Over 400 pieces of art and pottery collections that have been accumulated over many years since Apartheid ended in the early 1990s many of these art pieces are historic memories of South Africa and its many struggles. One of these pieces being ‘One Humanity’ The Nelson Mandela 70th Birthday Tribute on 11 June 1988 attracted some 72 000 music fans to the live event. More significantly, it was broadcast whole or in part to an estimated 600 million people in over 60 countries.

Our museum will contain pieces of art that have great significance to South Africa. A museum linked to South Africa’s history that has been forgotten by South Africa as long as the rest of the world.

To engage our visitors, foster deeper understanding and promote the enjoyment and sharing of authentic cultural and natural heritage I strongly believe and can ensure that there is no museum in South Africa that could compare to ‘SA Legacy’ . Our museum will contain an extremely large collection of South African history/heritage.

Interactive technology that educates the people on the history of these arts. The visual as well as audio of the museum modernised and attracts people to want to educate themselves more on what took place over the years in South Africa.

We would want this project to be executed by May 2024 . A donation of 10% tax income ‘yearly’ to speed up the process of the opening. 10% tax is deductible. The donators will be given a Tax Certificate from our NPO - SA legacy.
