Andrea PIERSANTI Andrea Piersanti, 52 anni, sposato, due figli, giornalista, autore e conduttore televisivo e radiofonico, Senior Consultant alla Media and Entertainment (Rai, Rai Cinema, Rai Trade, RomaFictionFest, etc.); presidente del Virtual & Multi Media Park di Torino (Lumiq Studios) e della Giuria di cortometraggi e documentari del “Premio David di Donatello”; professore di “Teorie e tecniche degli audiovisivi” all’Università “La Sapienza” di Roma; membro del comitato scientifico del “Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia”; ha scritto diversi libri sull’evoluzione della tecnologia e della linguaggio della comunicazione di massa quali “Giornalisti nella rete” e “Bytes all’arrabbiata”. Membro del consiglio “Media 2000”, è anche stato Presidente della Giuria Internazionale del Festival di Roma nel 2010 per il “Marc’Aurelio Esordienti”, presidente dell’ Istituto Luce (Cinecittà), membro del consiglio di Cinecittà Studios, redattore della rivista “La rivista del Cinematografo”, fondatore del sito www.cinematografo.it, primo sito di cinema in Italia, Presidente dell’Ente dello Spettacolo e dell’Associazione dei critici radio e tv italiani. 24

He wrote several books about the evolution of technology and mass communication language, (among the others: “Giornalisti nella rete” e “Bytes all’arrabbiata”). He’s member of the board of “Media 2000”, and has been President of the International Jury at Roma Film Festival in 2010 for “Marc’Aurelio Esordienti”, chairman at Istituto Luce (Cinecittà), member of the board of Cinecittà Studios, Editor of “La rivista del Cinematografo”, Editor and Founder of “www.cinematografo.it, the first website of cinema in Italy, chairman of Ente dello Spettacolo, chairman of Associazione dei critici radio e tv italiani

Born in England, in 1948, she graduated with first-class honor in English Literature and History at the University of Sheffield. She has attended courses of creative writing, journalism and marketing. After teaching English Literature in her hometown, in 1985 she started working for the English cinema newspaper Screen International and for the website Screendaily.com, as a journalist first, taking care of the Italian cinema and afterwords as Director of the Promotion and Research for Italy and Asia, developing, even through frequent trips in countries like Hong Kong, China, India, Malaysia, Taiwan, Korea, and Italy, a deep knowledge of the film industries trends of these countries. She has interviewed numerous personalities of the Italian cinema and wrote articles in occasion of festivals such as AFM, Berlin, Cannes. She has also worked for ANICA, for the monthly magazine Cinema e Video and Cinecittà Holding. She has carried out translation and Press Office works and collaborated with Laura Betti in 1989 for the publication of the book Pier Paolo Pasolini - A future life. She speaks English and Italian and lives and works in Umbria.
Nata in Inghilterra, nel 1948, si è laureata con lode in Letteratura Inglese, Storia e Educazione all’Università di Sheffield. Ha frequentato corsi di scrittura creativa, giornalismo, marketing. Dopo aver insegnato Letteratura Inglese nel paese natio, ha iniziato a lavorare, dal 1985, per il giornale inglese di cinema Screen International ed il sito web Screendaily. com, prima come giornalista occupandosi di cinema italiano, ed in seguito come Direttrice della Promozione e della Ricerca per l’Italia e l’Asia, sviluppando, anche attraverso frequenti viaggi in paesi come Hong Kong, China, India, Malaysia, Taiwan, Korea, e Italia, una profonda conoscenza delle tendenze delle industrie cinematografiche di questi paesi. Nel corso degli anni ha intervistato numerose personalità del cinema italiano ed ha redatto articoli in occasione di festivals come AFM, Berlino, Cannes. Ha lavorato inoltre per l’ANICA, per il mensile Cinema e Video e Cinecittà Holding. Ha svolto lavori di traduzione ed ufficio stampa. Ha collaborato nel 1989 con Laura Betti in occasione della pubblicazione del libro Pier Paolo Pasolini - A future life. Parla inglese ed italiano. Vive e lavora in Umbria. 25
