BEHIND THE BRAND
Est. 2020 Copenhagen
A few years ago, Carsten Søndergaard de cided to sell his stake in a large fashion com pany and take a break from the industry to find out what should his place in the world be. He had grown tired of the consumption mindset, where new was always better and you constantly had to buy things to feel complete. His values simply didn’t fit with the industry anymore.
By this point he had become more aware of the disastrous impact the fashion industry has on the planet, as well as, aware of his own habits. He was forced to realize that one individual’s changing habits were not enough. It takes more! With his experience in the fashion industry, he concluded: “There is only enough I can do as an individual, but if I can create a fashion business where the
environment is the main focus, then I can make a real difference!”
And he did.
Carsten wanted to shake up the fashion industry and prove that going into fashion does not necessarily mean you don’t care about the well-being of the planet. With many years of experience in the industry, he was very sure of what he did not want his new company to be, and from that point of view he envisioned everything it was supposed to be. That´s how A.C.T. Social was born – an aesthetic and transparent fashion brand that commits to constantly reducing their social and environmental footprint while facilitating a social commu nity for consumers who want a change.

GOTS
The Global Organic Textile Standard
9 A.C.T. SOCIAL VOL.1
It is a certification that is known to be the sharpest in the world. It evaluates whether the entire supply chain of one’s company meets a high standard of sustainability. GOTS is recognized worldwide.
The most important requirement of GOTS certification is that the product must be organic. With A.C.T. Social, we decided on going all the way. We wanted to ensure that you, as a consumer, could make the most sustainable choice by choosing this brand.
As a part of our sustainable DNA, A.C.T. Social embraces GOTS certification and we only use European GOTS certified sup pliers. This high standard certification of clothing is not a one-time approval, but is re-evaluated and verified once a year by an independent certification organization.
This ensures the consistency of constant ly producing clothes that create as little damage as possible to the nature and people.
Every step of production must be GOTS certified, all the way from processing the fibers to the company selling the product. We work with the best factories and people in the industry who choose to opt out of the “conventional” fashion industry and share our vision of transforming the fashion industry for the better.
• No toxic chemicals;
• No child labour;

GENDERLESS FASHION
Genderless clothing is a term that has been thrown around for quite some time now, however the concept has been present in the culture for a good while. Borrowing a shirt from a boyfriend’s wardrobe, or inheriting a cool vintage blazer from the grandfather has always been a thrill, but the world of fashion has not been ready to embrace it until now.
At A.C.T Social all the garments created are a great fit for all genders. We choose not to set limits and gender boundaries to our consum ers when it comes to our designs. We believe that fashion is fluid, and everyone should be allowed to wear whatever they feel like.
We see it as an area that should have no rules in regards to who wears what. An area of free expression and creativity, where you can choose if you want to fit in or stand out.
• At A.C.T Social we believe in inclusivity, and want to give everyone the opportunity to consume our clothes freely.
• The sizes differ and are tailored prima ry for men, however, the items are gender neutral pieces, therefore they can be worn by anyone.
• For us at A.C.T Social not only the en vironmental aspect is a priority, but we believe in creating a personal experience for the customer.

“LATE NIGHTS AND GOOD VIBES”
In 2022, we collaborated on a merch collection with AiaSound Festival.
The collection has been created from a scratch - with love and an eye for the smallest detail, from the design process in Copenhagen to the production in Portugal.
The Merch collection consists of a hoodie, t-shirt and a cap.
We have made 300 pieces of every item, each of which is numbered, making the collection extremely limited.
Both AiaSound and A.C.T. Social has sustainability as its core value and foundation.
Our common vision for a greener future goes hand in hand with the collection: all items are made of both certified organic cotton and 100% GOTS-certified cotton.
There is no added colour in the organ ic cotton, which means that each item is unique and the quality is as high as possible. The items are deisgned as timeless fashion pieces so you can use your garments many times, all year round.
