Born on May 9, 1932, in Catahoula Parish, Louisiana, to Lovelace and Layer Doyle Tolliver, Willie's journey through life was marked by profound relationships, steadfast faith, and a distinguished career that mirrored his immense passion for helping others and the joy of companionship.

MAY 9, 1932 - FEBRUARY 8, 2024

Willie's early life in Louisiana laid the foundation for a remarkable story of love, service, and community. A graduate of Wisner Colored High School, it was there he met his beloved late wife, Mary Lee Miles-Tolliver. Their love story began in Franklin Parish, LA, where they united in marriage on October 7, 1951 Together, they embarked on a life filled with love, raising four wonderful children: Willie Tolliver Jr., Charles Paul Tolliver, Sylvester Leroy Tolliver , and Ida TolliverDorsey.

A veteran, Willie served with honor in the United States Army during the Korean War from 1952 to 1954, before later setting roots in Oakland, California. There, he not only established a successful interior floor installation business but also found his calling at United Coffee before moving on to Peerless Coffee & Tea. As a Plant &

Equipment Manager with Peerless, Willie's work reflected his personal ethos of dedication, quality, and the importance of a good cup of coffee shared among friends and family. Retiring on April 5, 1996, his legacy within the coffee industry remains as rich and enduring as the beans he so cherished.

Willie's passions extended beyond his professional life. A man of the outdoors, he found joy in fishing, horse racing, and the simple pleasure of a warm conversation. A skilled cook, his family and friends often gathered around the table, sharing meals and memories. His faith was a cornerstone, i J Ch i l d
