Introduction for Student GCSE Choices Your GCSE choices are being selected online this year and below is the guide on how to complete these. You will be able to list subjects in order of preference and add reserves, as well as add comments for the school administrator.

To be able to sign in to the portal you firstly need to create a student app account, without this you will not have access to select your choices. This is a two-part process, please follow the order shown below.

PART 1 - Student App Setup Guide 1. Please open a web browser and enter https://outlook.com/woodlands.derby.sch.uk to logon to your school email account.

2. Please enter your school student email address followed by your password. (e.g schoolusername@woodlands.derby.sch.uk)

3. Look for a new email in your inbox from noreply@sims.co.uk and open the email 4. The email will look like below when opened:

5. Please click on the highlighted pink link which reads ‘click this link’

6. Once clicked on ‘click this link’ a new tab will open with the following sign in options. Please select the ‘sign in with Microsoft’ option as highlighted.

7. You will then be asked to enter your school email address and password 8. Then a permissions requested box will pop up like below, please select accept.

9. A Sims Registration window will appear as below, please click on the register button.

10. Please enter your date of birth in the box provided and click verify

11. Please wait while the system creates an account, this will take about one minute

12. Once your Student App account is created, you will see the homepage.

PART 2 - Sims Options Login Guide 1. Please open a web browser and enter http://www.sims-options.co.uk 2. The sign in window below will appear, please select ‘sign in with Microsoft’ option as highlighted.

3. You will now get asked to enter your school student email address (schoolusername@woodlands.derby.sch.uk) then click next

4. You will now get asked to enter your email password then click sign in

5. The window below should appear and you are now logged onto the options portal where you can make your choices online.

Remember when you have made your choices you need to press save. (top left corner)
