USCB YELLOW RIBBON PROGRAM PARTICIPATING SCHOOL

Use your Yellow Ribbon Program benefits at USCB Qualifying military veterans and their dependents are now eligible for additional tuition benefits at the University of South Carolina Beaufort, thanks to the University’s participation in the Yellow Ribbon Program.

If you’re a veteran who is currently not a South Carolina resident, the “Yellow Ribbon Program” can be a great financial benefit.

Local, on-site Financial Aid/Veteran Affairs trained staff will get you started or help you transfer your benefits to an eligible spouse or dependents in your family Local, on-site Academic Advisors will help plan your program of study Day, evening and Saturday classes in Beaufort and at the gateway to Hilton Head provide the flexible schedule you need.

Students at USCB become part of the community by attending a USC system university with deep roots in the Lowcountry.

Eligibility for the benefit is determined by Veterans Affairs and is limited to veterans who served in the armed forces after September 10, 2001.

University of South Carolina Beaufort (USCB) is pleased to participate in the Yellow Ribbon program and to offer eligible military veterans and their dependents an opportunity to attend USCB tuition-free.

The Yellow Ribbon GI Educational Enhancement Program (Yellow Ribbon Program) is a provision of the Post-9/11 Veterans' Educational Assistance Act of 2008.

Effective for the 2010-2011 academic year, USCB is partnering with the U. S. Department of Veteran Affairs (VA) to offer the Yellow Ribbon Program. Through veteran's benefits and USCB's financial contribution, many non-resident veterans and their dependents can take advantage of an education that is tuition-free.

Application Process Step 1: If eligible, students should apply for benefits under the Post – 9/11 GI Bill with the Department of Veteran Affairs at www.gibill.va.gov/ Step 2: Apply for admission to USCB at www.uscb.edu Step 3: Upon acceptance to USCB, forward your Certificate of Eligibility to the Financial Aid /Veteran Affairs Office to be considered for the Yellow Ribbon Program.
