So, are you looking to give your home a fresh coat of paint? It sounds easy. However, some paint defects are more obvious and harder to ignore. These issues need to be addressed as soon as possible to not only restore the painted surface, but also to investigate potential problems. Here, we have discussed the causes of common painting problems and how to fix them and prevent future problems.
1. Blistering If you notice bubbles forming from the base of the wall paint, this is blistering. Foaming is caused by moisture being removed from the painted surface. This can be caused by painting with high humidity, painting on wet surfaces or painting too quickly. Inadequate surface preparation can also increase blistering. To prevent blistering you must avoid painting in areas with high humidity or high dew point. Make sure the surface is dry and free of moisture before painting. Allow enough time to dry before repainting.
