Extension celebrates 100 years in Morrow County

Gallery opening at the SAGE Center BOARDMAN, OR, May 5, 2018 – Morrow County Extension is hosting a celebration and gallery opening at the SAGE Center celebrating 100 years of Extension in Morrow County. Guest speakers include State of Oregon Representative Greg Smith and Morrow County Commissioner Don Russell. The display will highlight current work by Extension in our area, as well as some highlights from the past. Current programs and research currently offered by Morrow County Extension include: 4H Youth Development, Juntos and Latino Outreach, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Education Program (SNAP-Ed), Livestock and Rangeland Management, Cereal Crops Agriculture as well as being served by the Hermiston Agricultural Research and Extension Center that serves irrigated agriculture, and Columbia Basin Agricultural
