Scenic views, Banff National Park Alberta Canada This trip is so phenomenal we should rename it The Ultimate Majestic Canadian Rockies Train Tour. The train travels for two full days during daylight hours from Vancouver to Banff through the Majestic Canadian Rockies. The rest of our specially designed tour is not offered by anyone else. We travel by bus and are staying in the very hard to get luxurious Fairmont Hotels. The Rocky Mountaineer Train has been voted many times – “The Best Train Trip in the World”! We wanted the best for our passengers, so all of our passengers will be traveling in “The Best Train Trip in the World” Luxury First Class GoldLeaf Train Cars! They offer two classes of service, SilverLeaf and GoldLeaf. The SilverLeaf Train Cars have large windows but not domed windows, they serve the meals at your seat and do not include the top luxury hotels. Not what we wanted for our passengers. All of our passengers will be traveling in the GoldLeaf Train Cars! The Luxury GoldLeaf Train Cars are two levels or two stories, with an elevator. The upper area is the luxury “first-class” seating area with a completely domed glass roof, creating unobstructed views from every seat. On the bottom level of each GoldLeaf car is a 5-star restaurant only open to those in that GoldLeaf Car. All meals on the train are included. The Majestic Canadian Rockies by Train was Voted 7 years in a row as “The BEST Train Trip in the World”.

Why we have not offered this special tour for the last couple of years!

Getting the hotels we want for our passengers has become almost impossible. The Rocky Mountaineer Train Company, with an upwards of 900 passengers a day arriving into the different cities, have overwhelmed hotels in many of the cities they visit. Rocky Mountaineer Train Company controls most of the group contracts with many of the hotels in the area. Their volume of passengers has been so high that it has become impossible to fill the large volume of requests for the Luxury Fairmont Hotels. GoldLevel Passengers will maybe get two Fairmonts and then have to settle for lesser quality or different 5-Star hotels in the area. At one point, they asked if our groups would be willing to stay in 5-Star constructed tents in an area or two. They just had more travelers than they could grant their wishes when it came to hotels. We finally gave up after weeks and weeks of trying different dates seeing if we could get all the hotels we wanted. When they could no longer grant our requests for the Fairmonts we wanted, we stopped traveling with them. We just stopped taking groups. If we couldn’t have what we wanted for our passengers, we weren’t interested. After more than two years of no bookings from us, they took notice and sent someone to talk to us about coming back and booking again. We told them we would come in 2021, but only if they could give us what we wanted, otherwise we have enough going on all over the world, we didn’t need them. They said they would go to work on getting us what we wanted. 6 months later, they returned with exactly what we needed, including all the hotels we insisted on at a perfect time of year. We have it all for 2021, but we do not know about future years. If you ever wanted to experience the Rocky Mountaineer Train through the Rockies, book now, 2021 is for sure, the future is an unknown.

The owners have tried for years to be able to visit Saudi Arabia, but have not been able to tour the country. Saudi Arabia has not allowed Americans or other countries to get tourist visas. They will be touring Saudi Arabia with many of their children and grandchildren in early March of 2020. They will also be preparing for your tour to Saudi Arabia in 2021. This is a rare opportunity to visit the land of Aladdin and his magic lamp. We have combined Saudi Arabia with Dubai, Abu Dubai, along with Salalah & Muscat in the country of Oman. They also have golf carts that are free to drive you anywhere around the resort. In March the owners of Fun For Less Tours is making their fourth trip, with some of their children and grandchildren, to Dubai. This will be the third time their children and grandchildren will ski and snowboard at the largest indoor ski resort in the world. We have scheduled a free afternoon and evening in Dubai that can be spent lounging around the luxurious Raffles large pool or you could use the time to visit the largest mall in the world or maybe enjoy skiing on the slopes of the world’s largest indoor ski resort. In addition to gigantic price differences we also look at those customers that have seen a show and then rates the show. Rating choices are: Excellent, Very Good, Average, Poor, Terrible. What we are most interested in is what percentage rated a show Excellent combined with the percentage of those rated a show Very Good. You really have to like a show to rate it Excellent or Very Good. For example: those that rated the Dutton Christmas show, 85% rated the show Excellent and 10% rated the show Very Good. Combining the 85% (excellent) and the 10% (very good), gives it a rating of 95% of those seeing the show, loved the show. There are plenty of shows that with combining the Excellent and Very good can’t even get to 60%. EVERY show we have listed below has a rating of a combination of 93% or better. The one exception is Shepherd of the Hills Dinner Show, with a rating of 81%, which isn’t bad, but below our standard. We wanted this show for two reasons; we get dinner with the show, and Shepherd of the Hills is where it all started. It was the first homestead ever built in Branson and we felt you should see the humble beginnings of Branson.

Every day was a highlight day up until they left for the long haul across Russia. There were few, if any, highlight days from Irkutsk to Moscow. They would travel for 36 hours and then stop for just a few hours and then repeat it again. It was not worth taking the train to Moscow. • Keeping a private train for two weeks, while some of your nights were in a hotel was very expensive. Our solution to the issues is simple: Only use the train from Mongolia into Siberia, where everyone loved the trip and you don’t take the long ride by train across Russia to Moscow. Why NOW is the Time! • The train Jim and Carol Tyndall (owners) were on in October 2015 visited only 3 Stans: Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan & Turkmenistan. They did not visit Tajikistan or Kyrgyzstan. They agreed to charter the whole train if they could add Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan. A train is not like a bus that you can just take a different road, pull over almost anywhere and stop or park. Getting permission to travel by rail, wanting to stop and park your train like a bus is not easy. After over 6 months of hard work with Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan, our private train has received permission for us to travel through all 5 Stans. 8 Fantastic Plays & Musicals Michael Bahr taught for fourteen years in the public school systems in Cedar City, Utah; Tremonton, Utah; and Bakersfield, California. He has received numerous teaching awards including Outstanding Teacher and the Apple Award (for excellence in education), and he was nominated for the Huntsman Award (for outstanding contributions to education). He is the Education Director of the Utah Shakespeare Festival and directs the Shakespeare-in-the-Schools Tour, serving 40,000 students with professional Shakespeare Productions. He also manages the High School Shakespeare Competition, an event that invites more than 2,500 students from 85 schools throughout Utah, Nevada, Arizona, Idaho, and California, and he has created the Bard’s Birthday Bash for local elementary school students. Our BEST Seating Ever Before seating is open to the public to purchase, it is first offered to those that contribute money or time to the Shakespeare Festival. Fun For Less Tours does not fall into this group. After receiving our seat assignments for this year (2015) we expressed our disappointment in the seats that were assigned to us. All of our seats were in the back half of the Orchestra section. We did not have any seats in the front half. We understand why the large donors and those involved in the plays should get first choice. We just wanted to be included in those getting first choice. We told the Festival we needed to be included in the first group for the following reasons: • This is more of a service then a profit center for us. By the time we pay for the hotels, the show tickets, three meals a day, thousands of dollars to rent our meeting space at the Festival, all tipping, money paid to actors for the private seminar, along with the cost of sending many staff members with all of their costs and the costs of Michael Bahr – we make very little money. The winner in all of this are our customers AND the Shakespeare Festival. • We asked the Festival to look at the many years of our buying around 2000 show tickets each year, which is 10 times more than other groups have purchased.
