The owners have tried for years to be able to visit Saudi Arabia, but have not been able to tour the country. Saudi Arabia has not allowed Americans or other countries to get a tourist visas. We all sat down and made a list of what we considered to be the BEST of Russia. The list included the cities Moscow & St. Petersburg; it also included the best of Siberia with Irkutsk, Ulan Ude, the wooden Old Believers Village and Lake Baikal. The only way to get into Siberia from Mongolia is by train. • Old Believers Village: These people were driven out of Russia for their religious beliefs in the 1600s. Railway on Lake Baikal, Russia Please believe us on this one – this really is the best trip you could ever take to Russia at the BEST time of year. Our tour and cruise will start mid-August 2021, the best time of year to visit Siberia. We have it all, trains, planes, buses, a 5-star ship and luxurious hotels. Add to all this the best in Educators: Dr. S. Michael Wilcox will be your educator in Mongolia, Siberia and St. Petersburg. Jeff Lawson, with his vast knowledge will be your educator on the Volga River from St. Petersburg to Moscow. In 2016 we sold a Trans-Siberian Rail Trip from Beijing to Moscow. We learned several things: • The private train we scheduled, actually started in Mongolia, not China. We felt that traveling from Beijing to Mongolia by bus and the Chinese train was not worth the time. That is why we are starting our tour/cruise in Mongolia. • The train between Mongolia and Siberia was the best way to travel and view Lake Baikal. We are using the train for this stretch. • Everyone loved the train trip from Mongolia to Irkutsk, and most did not enjoy the train trip from Irkutsk across Siberia into Moscow. Every day was a highlight day up until they left for the long haul across Russia. There were few, if any, highlight days from Irkutsk to Moscow. They would travel for 36 hours and then stop for just a few hours and then repeat it again. It was not worth taking the train to Moscow. • Keeping a private train for two weeks, while some of your nights were in a hotel was very expensive. Our solution to the issues is simple: Only use the train from Mongolia into Siberia, where everyone loved the trip and you don’t take the long ride by train across Russia to Moscow. Instead, we are going to fly to St. Petersburg and skip taking the train. We have kept the best of everything.

"White Egret Castle" is the nickname of Himeji castle, the great castle in Hyogo, Japan We know, “now or never” seems a little harsh. Let us explain. It has been close to 10 years since we have offered a Japan Cruise. When it comes to Japan and the same could be said about Vietnam – we feel a short tour in either country is too far to go for a short 7-night cruise or tour. Then we found this itinerary offered by Royal Caribbean Cruise Line. With a little creativity with the cruise, we found we could create a fantastic cruise and tour that would take care of both Vietnam AND Japan. It also gave us a way of adding Seoul, Korea. It was only offered once in the spring of 2021. We jumped on it. A year later, when it finally came time to put the tour and cruise together, we went to the internet to work on the day by day, BUT could not find it on Royal Caribbean’s web site. Even when we looked for it under ship’s itineraries, we couldn’t find it. Being afraid they may have canceled the sailing, we called our contacts at Royal Caribbean. From what we can gather, it is not that it is not going, it’s that there have been so many requests for cabins, they have removed it from their website. It looks like it may already be over sold. We did find we still had our requested cabins for now. Usually, when something like this happens, they give travel companies a little time to sell their cabins that they have reserved before the cruise line takes back the unsold cabins. The bottom line, we believe we are in that window of time.

2021 JAPAN CRUISE

Halong Bay, Vietnam Six Stops in Vietnam and Six Stops in Japan with a touch of Seoul, Korea and Hong Kong thrown in. For years we have had passengers ask if we ever offered a trip to Japan and the same goes for Vietnam. Our rep at Royal Caribbean alerted us to a unique cruise that starts in Singapore, visits Vietnam and ends in Japan. As we closely looked at the itinerary, the light bulb went on. We could fill everyone’s dream of Vietnam and Japan on the same cruise. It was simple. We will skip Singapore and board in Vietnam when the ship arrives. Visiting Ho Chi Min is a good stop, but not the best that Vietnam has to offer. The very best of Vietnam is Hanoi, Halong Bay, Da Nang, Hoi An followed by Ho Chi Min. To go all the way to Vietnam and miss the best parts is a crime. We figured out how to do it all. Instead of going to Singapore, we are going to start in Vietnam, hit the best places to visit and then meet the ship at the first stop in Vietnam. By the time the ship arrives, you will have had the experience of a lifetime. It is almost like this special cruise was designed specifically for us. It takes care of the parts of the world our normal tours leave off. Our tour of Thailand, Cambodia and Myanmar is right next door to Vietnam, but there just isn’t enough time to add an additional 5 days needed to truly experience Vietnam. The same can be said for Japan. It is right next door to our China tour, but again, there just isn’t enough time to add the additional 5 or 6 days needed to experience Japan. This special cruise takes care of what we have been missing.

In Vietnam we are going to visit Hanoi, a wonderful city, even better than Ho Chi Min. From there it is out to Halong Bay. Halong Bay has stunning limestone pillars and tiny islets topped by forests that rise from the emerald waters of the bay. Halong bay is a UNESCO World Heritage Site with over 1,600 limestone pillars and islands. It is also dotted with hundreds of limestone caves. On a scale of 1 to 10, this is an 11. Then we will be off to Da Nang. Da Nang is not the real draw, it is the harbor town of Hoi An that are located nearby. It is an exceptionally well preserved 15th to the 19th-century trading port. We will visit both before flying to Ho Chi Min for a city tour before boarding our ship. We do have a stopover in Hong Kong before reaching Japan. Our six stops in Japan include Okinawa with its Shurijo Castle, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Hiroshima and that fateful day in 1945 are on display, along with Hiroshima Castle. Our next stop in Japan is Kobe, home of the world-famous Kobe beef â&#x20AC;&#x201C; possibly the most expensive beef in the world. Kyoto (Osaka) is our next stop. Osaka is home to over 1,600 Buddhist temples, 400 Shinto shrines and 17 UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Our next stop is Shimizu, the gateway to Mount Fuji. Our cruise ends in Tokyo where we have added a hotel night, making sure you have time to tour Tokyo before heading home.

Yes, those mountains actually exist, they filmed them at Zhangjiajie and then used CG editing to cut off the bottoms so they appeared to be floating in the movie. This is a highlight of highlights in China. • Very few companies offer both the Yangtze and the Li River in one tour. Usually, you have to pick the Li River or the Yangtze; you can’t do both. 8 Fantastic Plays & Musicals Michael Bahr taught for fourteen years in the public school systems in Cedar City, Utah; Tremonton, Utah; and Bakersfield, California. He has received numerous teaching awards including Outstanding Teacher and the Apple Award (for excellence in education), and he was nominated for the Huntsman Award (for outstanding contributions to education). He is the Education Director of the Utah Shakespeare Festival and directs the Shakespeare-in-the-Schools Tour, serving 40,000 students with professional Shakespeare Productions. He also manages the High School Shakespeare Competition, an event that invites more than 2,500 students from 85 schools throughout Utah, Nevada, Arizona, Idaho, and California, and he has created the Bard’s Birthday Bash for local elementary school students. Fun For Less Tours does not fall into this group. After receiving our seat assignments for this year (2015) we expressed our disappointment in the seats that were assigned to us. All of our seats were in the back half of the Orchestra section. We did not have any seats in the front half. We understand why the large donors and those involved in the plays should get first choice. We just wanted to be included in those getting first choice. We told the Festival we needed to be included in the first group for the following reasons: • This is more of a service then a profit center for us. By the time we pay for the hotels, the show tickets, three meals a day, thousands of dollars to rent our meeting space at the Festival, all tipping, money paid to actors for the private seminar, along with the cost of sending many staff members with all of their costs and the costs of Michael Bahr – we make very little money. We will start our fantastic Church History Tour in Palmyra, the Sacred Grove, and the Hill Cumorah. We will then follow the legacy-rich path of the saints from Palmyra to Kirtland, on to Independence, Far West, Adam-ondi-Ahman, Liberty Jail and then finally into Nauvoo and Carthage. We will not be traveling by wagon train - we are going to fly from Kirtland to Independence! Flying eliminates two full days of traveling by bus and two months if traveling by wagon. Along with our own prepared manual, each bus will have qualified educators and escorts that have been to the Church History sites before. All of our Special Educators have been teachers in the Church Education System.
