ALERT System Client Enrollment – Web Access & Login (ALL PERSONNEL)

NOTE: Validation of personal information in the in the ALERT System follows the same steps provided in this document for new client enrollment.

Make corrections as needed and save changes at end of validation.

I. Log in to computer with DoD CAC. II. Go to: HTTPS://Alert.CSD.DISA.MIL III. On the USG Warning & Consent Banner page read the warning and then click on “I Agree” at the bottom.

PERSONAL INFORMATION: (Either add or update information as follows).

1. The EDIPI block has automatically been populated based on your DoD CAC. 2. First Name: Enter full first name.

3. Middle Name: Enter full middle name.

4. Last Name: Enter full last name.

5. Rank: a. Military: Examples: PV2/E2, SGT/E5, SFC/E7, 1LT/O2, LTC/O4, etc. b. Civilian: Examples: GS07, GS09, GS11, GS12, GS13, GS15, etc.

For Cell Phone, if you select the “Recive SMS” block this pop-up appears and you must select “Opt-in”

CONTACT METHODS: (Either add or update information as follows).

1. Phone numbers: a. Initially defaulted to “Work – Landline”, enter your work landline phone number. (Don’t Click on Receive SMS). Format is: “000000-000” b. To add additional Phone numbers, (Personal Cell, Work Cell, Home Landline, etc), click the “Add Phone” button, then using down arrow button under “Usage & Type” select appropriate Usage & Type and enter phone number. (NOTE: If Cell phone is capable of receiving SMS messages then click on “Receive SMS” block.

c. Allows up to (10) phone numbers. d. Not required however if a family members phone number is entered, enter it as a “Usage – Home” & “Type – Shared Landline” (This allows the Soldier/DAC to still receive notification by other methods and system does not cease to contact the primary persona).

Note: If you don’t enter family members this way then the system will cease attempts to contact the Soldier/DAC once the family member acknowledges receipt of the message, and the Soldier/DAC will not receive the alert.

2. Begin typing UIC of the unit you are assigned to. Following are two examples of pop-up screens for units with UIC beginning with “WQU” and “W0Z”

3. Select unit that matches the unit you are assigned to. This example shows the selection of “Office of the Chief Army Reserve (W0Z4AA). (Note: At no time should a client select a unit/UIC that ends with a “FF” UIC.

5. Click on “Save” button.

1. Click on “Add Command Structure” Button: This Screen comes up.

NOTE: If your unit UIC is not listed then select the UIC for the next higher unit in your chain of command and inform the USARC AROC that your UIC doesn’t exist.

4. When pop-up opens enter the Start / Stop dates.

Start date is the date you were assigned to the unit. Stop date is extimated date you will depart the unit.

1. Click on “Add Address” Button: This Screen comes up.

2. Add Address: Under the “Usage” block this is initially defaulted to “Work”. a. For “Work” address enter following in respective blocks: - Address Line 1: Physical Address for unit.

- Address Line 2: Additional Address line if needed (Building Number, etc., (Do not enter a P.O. Box).

- City: Type in name of city unit is located in.

- State: Select state unit is located in from drop-down.

- Postal Code: Address Zip code for unit.

- Note: If unit is considered a “Stand-Alone Facility” select the box “Standalone Facility” if not a Stand Alone Facility leave blank.

- Click on “Add” button. b. To enter your “Home” address: - Click on the “Add Address” button from main screen.

- Use drop-down under “Usage” and select “Home” - Address Line 1: Physical Address for your place of residence (Do not enter a P.O. Box).

- Address Line 2: Additional Address line if needed.

(Building Number, Apartment number, etc., (Do not enter a P.O. Box).

- City: Type in name of city you live in.

- State: Select state you live in from drop-down.

- Postal Code: Address Zip code for place of residence.

- Click on “Add” button.

- Select “DoD Civilian” - When value line populates with “DoD Civilian” select “Add” button.

ALERT System Client Enrollment – Final Task (ALL PERSONNEL) After you have clicked on the “Save” button in Step-3 previous slide you should see this screen if all information was entered correctly. You can then close your browser.

If the system identifies mistakes you will be prompted to fix the identified mistake. Once complete you need to click the “Save” button as shown in Step-3 previous slide.

Reminder: You should update your information on the ALERT! System site whenever you have a change to your personal contact information. If you do not have any changes you must still validate your information by signing into the ALERT! System site NLT every (180) days and click the “Save” button.
