I chose UConn Pharmacy because of its outstanding reputation. UConn as a whole is one of the top universities in New England and it is both an honor and a privilege to attend school here.

Since the start, the School of Pharmacy has provided me with the tools to grow as a student and a health care professional. The university challenges you both intellectually and professionally and there is a sense of recognition when you say you are from the UConn School of Pharmacy. Top hospitals in Connecticut, such as YaleNew Haven Hospital and Hartford Healthcare seek out our students. The desire to graduate from such a valued and reputable school was a major reason I came to UConn.

UConn School of Pharmacy is the best pharmacy program in the northeast. I loved the idea of having the big-school feel of UConn, while still getting the small class size and high studentto-professor ratio that the School of Pharmacy offers.

The school really takes time to ensure that they are sending well-equipped pharmacists into the work force. They provide opportunities to tailor your pharm school experience to any type of career post-graduation that you could possibly want - it doesn’t feel like a “Pharm.D. factory” like a lot of other schools have become. The professors are all experts in their field, and small class sizes allow you to form strong bonds with faculty.

That reputation is especially apparent parent in New England which is ideally where I would like to stay tay to practice as a pharmacist. I have had GREAT experiences when on rotation with a faculty member whether I had a previous ous relationship with them before or if this was the first timee I would be interacting with them one-on-one. They genuinely ely want to make us competent and functioning pharmacists upon graduation. The expectations UConn has for us are high igh but they pave the way for us to achieve them and more.

At the time I originally decided to apply to UConn Pharmacy, I can honestly say that I was unaware of jjust how amazing this school really is. The smaller class sizes and challeenging curriculum, while hard, make me feel as though I challenging willl be more than prepared to succeed as a pharmacist fo ollow graduation. The school itself is undoubtedly following thhe ni the nicest I have been in on campus, and it makes mee fee feel as though my time and money spent here at UConn UC Pharmacy are well worth the commitment.
