The Fort MacArthur swimming pool is open to all base members and Tierra Vista housing residents. Features include: • Heated Pool • Water Spray Park • Dedicated 25 Yard Lap-Swim Area Direct any questions or concerns to 61st Force Support Squadron Outdoor Recreation Management located at the Community Center.
• Children 12 & under must be accompanied by a guardian (age 18+) • Swim diapers required for children that are not potty trained • All swimmers must shower prior to entering the pool • Flotation devices must be USCG approved
• No water-wings, floating swim suits, or inflatables
• Lifeguard may require unsafe swimmers to wear one of our provided life vests or puddle jumpers
• No food or drinks allowed on deck (water is ok) • All swimmers must wear proper swim attire • No t-shirts, tank tops, gym shorts, etc.

School Age Care 2019 (Ages 5-12)
Open Recreation Program (Ages 9-18)
Before and After School Program provides age-appropriate childcare with quality programming, youth activities and events. Clubs, Activities, and USDA approved meals and snacks are offered. Transportation to and from select schools is available. The program focuses on team building, cognitive growth, and development of social awareness and problem-solving skills. The staff offers homework support to youth enrolled in the School Age Program. Registration is ongoing and based on availability. Visit www.militarychildcare.com to create an account.
This program provides recreational options for all dependents of active duty, retired military, DoD employees, and contractors living on base under a Tierra Vista lease contract. Youth must have current membership and be between 9-18 years of age. Community service programs, clubs, and classes are offered with focus on recreational activities, cognitive challenges, and team building. $30.00 PER MEMBERSHIP YEAR- All memberships expire in September, regardless of when the membership was purchased.
Transportation Program (Ages 9-18)
The Congressional Award is the United States Congress’ award for young Americans. It is non-partisan, voluntary, and non-competitive. The program is open to all 14 to 23-year-olds. Participants earn Bronze, Silver, & Gold Congressional Award Certificates & Bronze, Silver, & Gold Congressional Award Medals. Each level involves setting goals in four program areas: Volunteer Public Service, Personal Development, Physical Fitness, and Expedition/Exploration. Youth Program members are eligible for transportation to and from select schools: Leland Elementary, Point Fermin Elementary, White Point Elementary, Dana Middle School and San Pedro HighSchool. Upon return, registered youth may enjoy our Open Recreation Program, or go directly home. $50 PER WEEK *Note: Participation in the transportation program does not automatically register youth for after school activities. Youth must be enrolled in Open Recreation and other programming separately.
