In 2014, Cockatoo Island will host its fourth Biennale of Sydney from 21 March-9 June. A major venue of the Biennale of Sydney since 2008, Cockatoo Island’s heritage and industrial spaces will once again offer visitors the opportunity to experience the finest Australian and international contemporary art in an evocative historical setting and incredible harbourside location. The 19th Biennale is under the creative guardianship of Juliana Engberg, currently the Artistic Director of the Australian Centre for Contemporary Art in Melbourne. Artists from around the world will be presenting works exploring the theme You Imagine What You Desire. Be sure to visit Cockatoo Island during the Biennale Festival in 2014: you will be amazed at how the landscape and architecture is transformed. [3]
